Istomin is the far better player, but Federer has shown some good form lately, so who knows :p? He might pull yet another upset. That said, that can only happen if Istomin doesn't play his best, of course.

I don't remember Istomin hitting that huge of a ball tbh, very flat yes.

I say Fed gets an early break bc of Istomin's nerves and wins relatively comfortably in 2, 3 and 4.

Nole on C1 (dind't see the match at all because I wasn't able to find even any live stream), first round, Tsonga on CC (with all respect to Jo, he should've been scheduled on Cl and Nole on CC) ... than Venus and Clijsters on C1, now Fed as #1, the most popular player in the world on C1, Woz on CC. I'm not saying this because of a prestige factor, but if it rains again players could be screwed. Watch how many people will show up for the Woz match. I expect CC to be half empty. yeah, I know they have to schedule 2 wta matches on CC, but whatever.

also Roger playing doubles in Court 18..I know is doubles..but still..court 18??? is too small for him!! I'm sure Roger's doubles match will get a bigger crowd than Wozniacki..He should play at least Court 2 :o

I don't really agree with the placement but if you notice, they tried to balance men and woman's matches from court to court.. and seeing how five courts are streamed, you still get to watch the top players.

I guess it may be a respect thing but when your a guy like Fed you probably only care about being on CC during the final.

C18 is a televised court. That's the reason they play out there plus they have to give the other ticket holders something delightful to watch.

As for Wozniacki, I am beginning to think that theory that she's McIlroy's girlfriend helps with the scheduling is correct. Utterly ridiculous. At least she's playing another fave of mine who I hope can show her up on grass.

Every top player plays at least 1 match on C1 (or outside of CC), just like in SW19. And when Novak was allrdy on C1, Ferrer should have been put on CC (by looking at the seedings), but who wants to go to CC and watch Ferrer-Pospisil?? Tsonga-Bellucci was much more interesting. But to make up for it to Ferrer, they put him vs Kavcic on CC instead of Tsonga-Raonic, what is a shame. Fed will do his turn tommorow and Murray in QF. And i'm sure that if Wozniacki wins this match, she is going to play next one on C1

Yeah, it's the easiest of the Top 3 overall... but we all know Fed would beat anyone in this form, so... :shrug:

But actually Fed's draw in terms of match-ups has been pretty tricky. Falla is a tough match-up for him on grass, Benny is a tough match-up for him full stop, Istomin isn't a problem, but Isner could be a nightmare on grass if his serve's clicking. As for QFs, Simon, Ferrer, or Delpo -- Simon can trouble him, the other two can't, but it's not like he gets to choose which of them he faces (in all probability it will be Ferrer).

Sharapova and Azarenka on court 1 and Woz 3/3 on CC to good :bowdown::lol:

court no. 18 is actually 4th the most prestigious court at SW19. not bad for a doubles match in overbooked schedule
