Matosevic is hugely overrated and overranked anyway

Would be great to see him win the title.

Great play by Berankis.. never buckled, never even gave a bp chance..Tomorrow will be tough but it won't be his last tour final, I'm sure.

Yes!!! Get in there m'boy.

Matosevic is not respected enough on here, and should be credited for playing well this week. Rycka has more star quality than him though. So happy for Berankis.

Matsosevic is an okay player when on.. even played well at times today but he's too emotionally unstable to be consistent.

Was expecting Berankis to win this match, but didn't expected to do that so easy. This is huge achievment in lithuanian tennis history. Dont think he can win the final, unless Querrey loses his semi. However great result overall. Anyone know what his ranking gonna be after reaching final?

#103 with the final. Would be #76 if he wins the title. :)

Matosevic is a fighter, but Ričardas has more gears and outplayed him.
Vamos! Top 100

Just outside the top 100. It's good steps though, even if he loses tomorrow.

Berankis was pretty good, i like how calm he is. He handled Matosevic's serve superbly, he was stepping in the court on Marinko's 2nd serve and hit it long and close to the baseline and Matosevic just couldn't deal with it. Breakthrough tournament for Berankis

I'm hearing this a lot lately. Everyone is an "okay player" when in form.

^Of course, you're not an awful player if you're ranked in the top 100 in world don't care who you are.. The guy has some skill but like most, can't harness his ability on a consistent basis.

it takes a certain amount of talent and also a little luck to get to the top 100 but i think there are some guys who its safe to say have over achieved

Yes but that comes with luck more then anything. It also depends on contrasting styles.. some guys perform better against certain opponents, surfaces..

As for Matosevic, I think he has a bit of talent, he showed it in his previous match.. and even against Rycka at times, its just if you looked at him today vs. yesterday, its like a totally different guy mentally.

i'm way off track anyway, great win for Rycka and he I think is a guy who when healthly, can be top 100 maybe top 50..
