Saw it from 3-2 Haase in the 2nd. Oh my god was that bad by Kohli. Couldn't convert a bp and played like shit in general. Have fun losing again tomorrow, Philipp.

Kohli with a point penalty in the 3rd set. Haase can have a big night at the Londoner and Kohli can now get his flight to London.

Haase, not only defends his first title, but keeps his perfect singles final record :rocker2:

Of course, his trademark celebration roar :yeah:

Kohlschreiber was just a terrible sore loser at the end, breaking his racquet and it didn't look like he shook Haase's hand after the match. Probably pissed off that Haase acted like he won a Slam

That was hilarious. Oh, Kohli.

Haase finals record: ATP 2-0, challengers 8-0.

Haase equals Alex Corretja in Kitz wins and one more title there he will equal Albert Costa as the King of Kitz.

Surprising to see him defending the title after a bad clay season so far, but ends it on a high note!

You're supposed to tank in the first round not the final mate.

Kohli didn't tank today, he wasn't trying to tank during the week. Best of all Haase gets to keep that brilliant Kitz trophy.

Exactly. Why he was even playing here ? Bertorelli said about it perfectly : What a mistake to make !

Kohli gets his best ranking inside the top 20 good enough reason to play here.

Are you fucking kidding me ?! 150 points from Mickey Mouse is not worth to fuck up your Olympics . He had excellent draw, fresh Kohli would have been able to beat Ferrer on grass and all other mugs until semifinal vs Federer, to earn more points and shot for medal. Now he goes out in 1st- 2nd round.

I say :stupid decision , no matter how much appearance fee they promised to him.

Really tough for Kohli recover from this now. Not only an issue with his fitness, but now also his mind. His mental meltdown was abysmal, almost Verdasco-like when he was losing -- terrible attitude.

I'm not convinced he will get past Kavcic in his OG opener.

As for Haase... Jesus. Will he even win a game against Gasquet

Kohli is not going to win an Olympic Gold or a medal. The Germans originally didn't include him by the original cut off date of the Games, so he planned his schedule like anyone would if they weren't going to be a part of the Games.

He will win his 1st round. What ifs, buts and maybes count for a lot of nothing. If he was so fired up and the Olympics were so important then he would have withdrawn.

So his career best ranking at end of this week inside the top 20 means shit does it?

 :haha:

 you don't think he can beat Ferrer on grass? Kohlschreiber is an excellent grasscourtplayer. His offensive game is way better than Ferrer's + he has some serious volleyskills. The guy has enough weapons to beat anyone really.

OT: well done Robin, now go get your ass handed to you by Gasquet.

Haase was his usual arrogant self after the match:

"Prolonging a title, that's something that generally only the big names do, the Top 5, at Grand Slams or the other bigger events. I now belong to that list. That is an achievement to be proud of."

I can't believe this guy and the size of his head. I hope the day will soon come that he realizes that he will never crack the Top 20 and will never pose a consistent threat to top players.

 I don't believe he thinks defending kitz is comparable to defending or even winning a GS, or even getting to a quarter or semi at a GS:D. He can't be that stupid.

It's more that he likens himself to the 'big names'.

He says it's an honour to sort of have that 'defending champ' experience and to have defended a title like "top 5 players", using grand slams or other events as an example. He didn't compare winning this shitty tournament to winning GS's or Masters. Yes, he's an arrogant prick (take a look at what he said after the Roddick match at AO earlier this year), but what he said here wasn't.

I remember him criticising Verkerk when Haase hadn't achieved a single thing in tennis. Didn't like his attitude then, don't like it now. He needs a serious lesson in humility.
