Rosol you idiot, he was practically giving the match to you and you double fault your way to lose? Really? :stupid:

Surely he won't tank against Volandri. That would be pathetic.

Looks like he might hang around to try to win this tournament instead of tanking. What happens with Wimbledon? Will they accommodate his schedule if he's still playing in Austria by Saturday?

Top 20 at last

But did it really have to come this week :smash:

Shame, frankly.

Rosol has his chances here to take this, but his all or nothing game killed him here. Just needed to keep it in play and let Kohli tank, but Rosol just had to go for winners on almost every ball.

Not a smart match, and 3rd set especially, from the Czech, but hey, you live by the sword, you die by it.

Goodbye Olympics IMO.

Kohli might as well win this event since he plays Kavcic in the 1st round of the Olympics.

Rosol great double fault to give the final break away.

If I ever saw unhappy winner after close match, it was Kohls out there today. He was like : WTF??!, I have to spend one more day here on clay while others practice on fresh grass in Wimbledon ? Damn !

Lukas had 3 BP at 2-3 in the final set  Oh well, cemented back in the Top 100 at least with little to defend the rest of the year :wavey: Kohli won't be ready for the Olympics now...Not enough prep time now, IMO

IKR, he was frowning as he walked up the net to shake Rosol's hand

You know it's a tournament before a major event when Kohlschreiber out of all people easily vultures through the draw.

Wait ... isn't Kohli still 5 points short of top 20?

Nope cause Dolgopolov and Granollers will drop points. Doggie will go from 1690 to 1460 due to dropping his Umag win from last year and Granollers will go from 1635 to 1395 for dropping his gstaad win from last year. Kohli will have 1620 after his quarterfinal win which is greater than ROddick and Gasquet's 1600.

Wait ... isn't Kohli still 5 points short of top 20?

no : provisionally number 18 (more points in GS and MS1000 than Monfils), number 16 if he reaches the final.

Finally : he should have reached the top-20 for long with his talent :worship:

Fuck the Olympics : go for that number 16 Kohli :clap2:

Besides, I don't think Ferrer in 2nd round is a good draw for Kohli.

I didn't see but it's a common expression from him when he goes for the handshake : sorry for the opponent

Hopefully he gets to the top 10. That will be one deserving top tenner unlike Mugnaco.

not all tank their matches! Kolhi is perfect example winning 2 matches in 1 day! Auf Geht's!

He could have had a good chance against Ferrer had he pulled out Kitzbuhel early. Now I can't see him beat Ferrer R2

Ok and i respect him but even if he would've tanked this wouldn't have been because of fixing, money and gambling but because participating at the Olympic games so it's a different thing

the schedule for Saturday is out : it's first half first except the part which includes Kohli and Ferrer, which is replaced by Berdych's one.

Which means Kohli could play the final on saturday and Olympic first round against Kavcic next day.

Boom, Kohli made it to the final.

If you beat Ferrer, you'll be considered the surface transition GOAT. :worship:

he has to play Kavcic on sunday first, but Ferrer might be on monday as first half is normally first

I know but beating Kavcic despite the transition is not a great achievement.

this Rosol sounds like a mug. What has he done to deserve being on the ATP tour, should do some challengers to rack up a point or two.
