Interesting article comparing the return game stats of Agassi, Rafa and Nole -

Much of it I've seen before but a couple of stats that stood out:

- Nadal has won over 40% of return games on clay for 10 years running.
- Nole won 41% of return game on HARD in 2011. Then again, Agassi won 40% in 1993. These guys at their best are easily the best returners on a hardcourt. Personally give Agassi the edge on hard over Nole, but only just. If Nole keeps the 2011 level up for a few years he'll easily be the best returner on hardcourts.

Other interesting facts - for CAREER hard court return stats Nadal and Djoko are tied - both with 32% of first serves and 54% of second serves. So while Nole's peak on HC is clearly higher, Nadal has been very consistent throughout, even though it's his weakest surface.

Still, can't get over that clay stat - a decade of winning over 40% of return games on clay - won 51% in his best year (2008). :worship:

It's certainly impressive - but then we didn't need any further stats to confirm what a beast Nadal is on clay!

Stats for Agassi can't be 100% true cause ATP stats are wrong in many matches
