wondering where Tipsarevic went in the third set :o

but congrats to Thomaz and his fans .First title since 2010 I think

Bellucci was the better player overall in the match. Tipsarevic wasn't great at all this entire week, let alone this match. Got lucky with that first set. Probably should have been in straight sets in all honesty. Great week for both guys nonetheless.

Bellucci is a clown, but a great player when he's on. Great play by him in the 3rd, helped with some stupid UEs from Tipsarevic, well deserved win. Some1 else can talk about his clowning in the 1st set :D

P.S. Good 2 weeks for Tipsarevic, 'defends' his Moscow and St. Petersburg points, good luck to both guys in the Olypmics. Good choice from ITF to give the WC to Bellucci.

Before everyone comments about how well Bellucci played here is some comments about the first set tiebreak:

Bellucci was up 6-1 in the breaker and DFed at 6-7 to lose the set. The serve was so crazy it was meters off being in. :haha:

That being said, Bellucci was playing great. He should spend his prize money on a sports psychologist now to sort out his mental problems because he is very much a clown and a mental midget. That makes Tipsarevic's loss much worse

Up 6-1 in the first set tiebreak Bellucci than had the worst choke EVER in a tiebreak, culminating in this DF:

Good for him for getting over it and coming back in the second and third.

fully deserved title of Bellucci, he was the best player all week.
Should have won the match in 2, though, but a win is a win! Congrats! :)

Arise the Gstaad GOAT Bellucci

Another note to this match is that Tipsarevic got so pissed off he hit the ball into the audience and got a code violation for ball abuse :haha:

Despite the TB choke, great to see Thomaz in some sort of form.

I'm not sure if there were any worse breaker chokes in history than this one. It was monumental.

Really. From 6-1 it was 5 consecutive UEs, followed by a shanked forehand and then that DF to close it out. Amazing.

He did brilliantly to shake it off and come back, however. He played well and was by far the better player all match.

Bellucci didn't choke after the first set  Janko did well. Another clay final :yeah: Congrats to Bellucci he played very well all week long

I'm very happy for the performance of Thomaz this week. :D

It had been awhile since I saw Thomaz serving so well in times of decision with some exceptions of course. ;)

He was mentally stronger this week to turn this match against Janko, to win two tie-breaks against Dimitrov and to win a hard match against Youzhny that was leading the H2H with Bellucci by 3-0.

Third ATP Title for Bellucci, Second Title in Gstaad and now he have more Gstaad Titles than Roger Federer. :worship:

Pivotal win for Bellucci, especially after that mess of a first set. Maybe now after Braunschweig and Gstaad, he'll start to believe in himself a little again.

I still expect bigger things from him soon.

07-22-2012, 12:39 PM
bellucci can play great, big wasted talent (wasted because his mind ability doesn't go together with tennis skills  ) i am happy for him and i think it should have been him instead of rosol beating rafito at wimby...

Well done Thomaz, thoroughly deserved tournament victory :yeah: Always a bonus when the Serbian prick loses

Good stuff, Thomaz got revenge for last week's defeat and took the title. Would be great if he could iron out these huge mental lapses though, his game could very well make him one of the best players on clay.

Good two weeks for Tipsy too, on course for another top 10 year-end finish.

Happy for Thomas. Hope he gets another one this year - needs the confidence.

07-22-2012, 04:48 PM
how tipsy lost this i will never know... belucci had already defeated himself in the tiebreak.

07-22-2012, 05:15 PM
Another good spell for Bellucci, let's see how long it lasts. His streak could have been more impressive, had he not choked against Tipsarevic in Stuttgart last week.

07-22-2012, 05:45 PM
Thomaz is being more consistent than normally, and it is paying. No crazy dropshots, no more going for the winner out of balance, a more tactical 1st serve. If this is going to keep being like that when he starts losing again I don't know, but for the moment it looks good.

That being said, that DF is one of the most hilarious things I've ever seen.

07-22-2012, 06:54 PM
thank you, thank you so very much, bellucci! :hatoff:
