How many more singles titles will Novak Djokovic win this year?
(Not how many you want him to win ;), but an educated guess.)

Here are his scheduled tournaments (defending in bold):

1. 07/27/2012 - 08/05/2012 - Olympic Games 2012 at Wimbledon.

2. 08/06/2012 - 08/12/2012 - Rogers Cup (Toronto) Masters 1000

3. 08/13/2012 - 08/19/2012 - Western & Southern Open (Cincinnati) Masters 1000

4. 08/27/2012 - 09/09/2012 - US Open

5. 10/01/2012 - 10/07/2012 - China Open (Beijing) ATP 500

6. 10/08/2012 - 10/14/2012 - Shanghai Rolex Masters 1000

7. 10/22/2012 - 10/28/2012 - Swiss Indoors (Basel) ATP 500

8. 10/29/2012 - 11/04/2012 - BNP Paribas Masters 1000 (Paris-Bercy)

Usually u would pick Toronto or Cinci but a lot deppends on his Olympics. If he gets to finals in London, then unlikely he will win Toronto.Us Open is the most probable.Asia tournaments are always unpredictable as he could win both but also lose early,Basel if he is fit it`s between him and Federer,Paris certainly not and at WTF he could get to finals but also lose every match in the groups.

Good point to point out what he's defending. Thus not winning Canada and US.
Have a good shot for Basel and Paris though. So I say 2.

I don't think he will defend the rest of his titles this year, but I think he will finally bag Cincy. Could also win Paris as well. The rest are a little cloudy for my liking.

Ehmm he can win all except USO. I want Nadal to win USO.
But I probably won't get what I want so.

Realistically he will win at least 3 imo.

Novak hasn't confirmed yet to play Basel this year.

WTF? Really?
Maybe if he can avoid Ferrer and Tipsy, otherwise he is doomed.

Oh and Basel :haha:

Novak hasn't confirmed yet to play Basel this year.

Correct. The OP only has his schedule, not confirmed events.

Here are the latest confirmed players for Basel:

Federer Roger (SUI)
Murray Andy (GBR)
Nishikori Kei (JPN)
Wawrinka Stanislas (SUI)

I think almost all of these are significant threats to beat Djokovic at this venue.
So Basel wasn't on my list for him.

Hopefully not Olympics but he has a very good chance, One at least of Toronto/Cincy, While I want Rog to take USO, Nole is favourite, and 1 if not two of Beijing/Shanghai surely. So potentially 4-5, but in the end maybe 3.

He will win half of what he won last year(10). He's won only 2 titles so far. Perhaps 3 more titles for a total of 5 titles.

He will win Beijing and that's it.

Olympics, Cincinnati, USO, Basel, WTF belongs to Roger.

Toronto and Shangaï to Murray if Federer doesn't care, like he usually doesn't.

Bercy is up for grabs, Federer will tank (unless he doesn't play Shangaï in which case he's a lock for the title). If Fed does tank, then Tsonga should have it.

nice wishful thinking but suit yourself:p.

OK, let me get this right ...Rog managed to def. Nole at W and suddenly he is a favorite to win every single tournament this year and next 20 years, regardless of the fact that Nole def. him X times in last 1.5 year ... some of you Fed tards are something (completely fanatic and delusional). I'm saying this with all respect to true Fed fans, and there are many of them on this board who are very objective.

I said, as a Nole fan, that I hope he'll defend the USO, but I don't have a crystal ball and I don't know. I really do not like these prediction threads, but hey, I guess we are all bored right now awaiting for Olympics ....

This is epic. Belong to Roger? Like no.1 "belonged" to Roger? That's what Nike etc. seem to have been suggesting - "no.1 never left him". Roger's record vs Novak over their last 7/8 meeting is very poor - one Wimbledon result with Novak playing poorly doesn't change that.

Murray, Novak, Tsonga all have a chance at the Olympics; Murray will do well at Cincy and can always beat Roger in best of 3 - Berdych might do well too; USO - not if he meets Novak in the final; WTF - will give him that. ;)

And another one goes begging. Let's hope Nole settles with his 2nd priorities this year since he lost the FO and the OG.

He hasn't pulled out of Toronto so a win there is NID. Cincy too with everyone else just coming off playing on grass grass. The USO too with everyone still trying to adjust to playing on hard courts. At least 3 more titles but they'll be the big ones.
