I'm not disputing he's creative but his shot production is ugly. I hope Haas wins the tournament. He's the only player left in the draw I like and it would be another chapter in another remarkable comeback. He's had a few of them now.

You are right on using the brain tho. He is much calmer when he stupidly loses point, but same attitude remains when he wins point ;)

Have to disagree on Haas being slow, there were few shots even I doubted he could catch, which he converted in point later on.

Haas' game changed immensely since his younger days. Before his shoulder surgeries he was a power baseliner with a huge serve. After all the injuries he has become far more rounded player and incorporated his slice and net play a lot more. When he was young and physically peaking he had decent volleys/court craft but he never relied on it like he does now. Watch a tape of a 2001/2002 and compare it to 2007 onwards and it's a huge difference.

Be boss if he could add another home soil title in his career twilight. The fans love him.

Yep I remembered him 10 years back(and watched all big matches), agreed it has changed as I said, but hasn't that much.
Ofc after shoulder ops, one would need to reduce baseline shots and try to win quick points. But in essence of his game, he still had that offensive attitude.
Personally, I like he introduced more S&V style, many years ago. Made him as perfect example of complete all-around player..

Haas knows he is on his last chances to win titles...there is no top3 here, even there is no the best Juan Monaco and the clay seems fast.

Haas has actually become a very decent clay court play as he has aged. At least he is less likely to be blown off the court on this surface.
