Why all these withdrawals ?

Because of the proximity of the Olympics ? Davydenko and Fognini are still in the Hamburg's list, Bellucci in Gstaad's.

These Olympics really shake the whole tour

the players who will concentrate on the other tournaments should really get a benefit in terms of ranking points.

OG tennis starts on Sunday. And first round is on Sunday and Monday. So if you're in a clay final Sunday in Austria I don't think you play a grass first round in London on Monday.
So I think also Kohli will pull out.

Bellucci and Karlovic out

I think Karlovic is injured. He posted in twitter 2 days ago :

10 days after injury. Still on crutches. I've officially became worlds laziest person..

Not sure, but Machado is probably out here due to an injury.

I think Robredo finally has made a right decision ;) I found him stupid when I've read that he'd got a wildcard here because he's in at Washington next week. I hope he'll do well there.

It's a pity that the tournament is now like a Challenger event... A German pay tv Sport 1+ will show such an event live 5 hours every day though they haven't shown nothing live at Hamburg

We can make predictions when will Kohli tank it :tomorrow or later. Why is he even playing here in the first place, did they pay him so much appearance money ? My guess is : he beats qualifier and tanks vs Rosol.
