CH Nottingham-2 R1: Kuznetsov def. Ilhan 4-6 6-7(4) 6-4

This match started six hours prior to it's conclusion due to rain.

Andrey flashed his shotmaking talent, but overall, it was a mediocre match from both, Andrey just was the better one on the big points the final two sets and Ilhan played an awful tiebreak. Ilhan got two calls he felt wronged him in the third set, one at 3-*2 BP and one at 3 all deuce, which led to him losing both games. Kuznetsov saved BP in the final game.

Kuznetsov won junior Wimbledon in 2009, so he can play on this surface. I'm sure he'll look a lot better with some matches/practice under his belt on grass.

score is wrong. kuznetsov won 4-6 7-6 6-4.

Kuznetov played like a piece of shit in the first 5-6 games. Thought he would tank this after losing the first set 4-6, but he raised his level in the second and third set. Second round he will collapse with such an attitude.

Just dreadful this year. Kuznetsov is no scrub in general, nor on grass, but the results have just not been good enough for the Turk.

BTW, i watched and this was terrible match. Marsel had a loooooot chances to win and threw all them away. Kuznetsov looked really bad. It was a bit lucky win for him.
