Why is everyone thinking Tsonga will win everything this grass season? He suffered a fucking painful loss and you guys expect him to resurrect into God or something. Let's be realistic here. I think he will do relatively well in Queens, but he won't win it. He needs some time off more than anything right now.

He bounced back well after his loss to Wawrinka last year which was 2 rounds earlier. This loss may be harder to take because he had match points for a place in the semi's but he should be happy because it was the best he has played this year and as he said if he can do this well on clay against Djokovic he will do even better on grass. He doesn't seem to bad at the moment and I think he loves playing on grass so much he'll be back to normal as soon as he plays his 1st match at Queens.

Confidence affects your game, regardless of the surface. That said, as a fan, I wish Tsonga all the best. But I don't blame him if he doesn't do well this grass season given what has happened. That will be really sad, but I'm afraid it will be what it'll be.

I assume you are not including Murray in this 'mug field' group. Murray has won here twice before and has a very good record against Tsonga(5-1 and 2-0 on grass.) He should take this and get some momentum going for Wimbeldon.

Murray and Jo should play the final under normal circumstances. Murray was a bit lucky in last year's final and Jo keeps improving. I believe Tsonga will win the final this time if they play.

Think if Vasselin has his head screwed on properly he could give Roddick a real tough match. Has a decent serve and the ability to hit a lot of winners. Would be an interesting match for sure.

Dima to take Tipsarevic out, though Hewitt doing it would be much better and enjoyable. Hoping for that. Tsonga is almost a lock for a spot in the final and Murray's draw in the upper section looks good too so, really, the logical final is likely to happen.

From 2000-2011 only 5 guys have won it (Hewitt 4x, Roddick 4x, Mugray 2x, Rafa 1x, and Querrey 1x). I think it'll either be Mugray's 3rd or Tsonga's 1st (1st Queen's Club title and 1st ever grass court title).

4 men have qualified for queens namely Bemelmans, de Scheeper, Reynolds, Korolev. All didn't drop a set in qualifying.
Sadly Korolev needs a very good run here to stay inside the top 500 at the rankings as of 6/18/2012. I think its his sad mentality that he doesn't want to play Challengers.

CooCooCachoo
06-10-2012, 01:01 PM
You missed Reynolds.

De Schepper had the toughest draw (in Reynolds Q1 and Sweeting Q3; obviously not in Noviski) and the most impressive results. His big serve is obviously a huge asset, but it is only half the story in his 6-2 6-2 demolition of top seed Sweeting.

Korolev's rebirth is pleasantly surprising. Baker first, then brusquely swept aside Weintraub today.
