Ferrer didn't do himself justice today. After missing the early BPs the fight seem to go out of him. The two earlier losses in Barcelona and Rome played a part in that. I'm sure he will be disappointed in himself, which is a shame as played so well until today.

Ferrer doesn't have the firepower to beat Nadal on damp clay. Often he doesn't have the belief when trying to close out sets. This time he didn't have the confidence after three games. Nadal started rusty and Ferrer had break chances. Folded on those and Nadal steamrolled after that.

Pathetic, the story of RG '12 is even worse than the story of USopen '10. I remember the time when wining the GS was actually a big accomplishment even for big champions. But with today's lame competition and piss poor draws it's actually easier for Nadal to win RG than some clay masters. Pathetic.

No and I thoroughly dislike his time-wasting. That said, he's a superb tennis player obviously and simply amazing on clay. No one currently playing looks as natural on this surface as he does. I just don't like to watch his matches because they're usually really long and his style of play isn't something that I enjoy, not to mention some of them are quite one-sided and not competitive.

Nice first round match for Rafa. Oh wait, this is the SEMIFINAL. Fucking joke.

I hope Murray watched it and feels deeply ashamed of himself for allowing this clay court mug to reach the semis of this tournament and this semifinal to take place. Even Melzer and Stepanek were able to prevent this outrage in years past. Mugray :stupid:

This will probably be more one-sided than the Melzer semifinal. - http://www.menstennisforums.com/showpost.php?p=12072595&postcount=81

Sad thing is I can't even take credit for this prediction, since anyone who has ever watched tennis could see it coming bar the Ferrertards.

Oh well, time for Play Station at Rafa's hotel room. Maybe Ferrer can win a match there if he can keep his hands/mouth off Rafa's **** long enough.

Congrats to Rafa; seventh final in this tournament and made me win a bet (losing less than 7 games).

Fair enough, different strokes for different folks. I can understand someone not like Nadal. Thats fine just do not get all the hate.:o

I don't hate him if that helps. Used to but not anymore. :D Anyway MTF is full of haters so just deal with it somehow.

Honest answer :)

I'm sure deep down you like him. You probably just hate the fans more than anything.

Rafatards don't annoy me as much as Noletards. I mean, I don't dislike any players as people, only their on-court antics and style of play; and Nadal seems like a nice chap. Admittedly when I first started following tennis and became a Federer fan I hated Nadal because he threatened Roger's records () but I'm past that already. :D

Are you a Rafa fan? I can't really tell; most of your posts are ambiguous in tone.

That's surprising IMO. But I concur to an extent, Noletards really got into my grill last year, especially on YouTube (ie. when he dominated). Fair enough, but usually their fans exaggerate those factors which heightens the hate. Lol hating Nadal because he is threatening Federer's records is pretty silly though :p

What a good question. I'm not going to answer it. Let's just say I'm mysterious, and we'll leave it there.

Rafa is starting his quest to wolf down some Slams and the Gold Medal like they were potato chips. If he carries this Momentum to Sw19, the Olympics and the U.S. Open, GOAT Status is merely a formality! :yeah:

18 GAMES to 5 over a Player in the form of his life !!!! :) As Raferminator boldly predicted, the Spartan Warrior is BACK and he is hungry for some redemption! He is going to HUMILIATE anyone in his path! Did you get to see the Match, Muger? Part of me wants you to make the Final now....

Overture, Curtain lights, This is it, Rafa, the night of nights. No more rehearsing and nursing your shots. You know every shot by heart. Overture, Prime Time lights. This is it, Rafa's going to hit the heights. And oh what HEIGHTS he'll hit! On with the Slams, THIS IS IT !!!

Ohhhh, MUUUUGERRRRR....MUGGGGGEEERRRR.....Run for your life, Frauderer, while you still can! HUMILIATION Awaits Thee...

I'm 100% sure Murray would've won more games than that. Much more.

That's a really bad scoreline, Ferrer. The winner was expected though, but still, awful scoreline.

i am not happy with the clay warrior.

I'm going to assume you're just being funny. Ferrer won a total of 5 games. That was a beat down. Nadal has only been broken once in the whole tournament and he's now beaten three straight clay court specialists without dropping a single set.

We are looking at the second coming of Nadal 2008. Should he demolish Fed/Djoker in the final, he will win Wimbledon and probably the Olympics. Then we'll see what happens at the US Open.

So far, you couldn't script a better year for Nadal other than having him pull a miracle victory at the Australian.

Murray wouldn't have faired any better (and this is coming from a Murray fan). Nadal is unbeatable right now on clay.

The only thing that can make things competitive in the final is if nerves get to him. If he plays loose and confident, he will not drop a set regardless of who he faces.

Barring something extreme Nadal will win RG 2012.

Many forget that Ferrer is a good clay court player and only Nadal could do this to Ferrer on a clay court over 5 sets.

We really should stop calling Nadal "the clay warrior". Warrior implies that he actually has to fight.
Hard Court Warrior would be more apt.

Defying all expectations, as the years pass the gap between Nadal and his opponents on clay actually seems to be getting wider and wider instead of closing.

Winning Monte Carlo and the FO these days is akin to a stroll in the park with a popsicle for him, as opposed to a great bloody spartan war.

LOL. Quoted for truth. Nadal is looking nigh unbeatable right now. But how will he handle the pressure of winning a record 7th RG against Novak (who is going to win the SF by the looks of it). This is the test I've wanted for Nadal since last year.

Can he overcome his mental demons and beat Novak in a best of 5? Nadal will have to battle his mind on Sunday more than Djoker. He will earn the name Clay Warrior even if he wins in straight sets. This will be the ultimate test of his will.

Maybe you mean a volley on a breakpoint at 2-1? After that I started counting consecutive points won by Rafa - it was 9 ponts in a row and then 16 of 17.
Well that was fun.

I was disappointed that he never even made Nadal try. I actually hoped for a 7-5 6-4 6-4 sort of win.

i was hoping for a 3.5 hours workout for the clay warrior.

now he will just have to go out hit for 3 hours tomorrow.

just 3 more sets to go on sunday and then its done.
