Top 5 for win percentage on Clay (minimum 100 clay wins)

Choose the 5 that you believe are on this list!

Edit, Cerc should be Clerc!

The best of all time is easily Nadal and there's no need to create a thread that everybody knows the answer to. Anybody who says otherwise is just in denial. There's never been a better physical specimen more suited to the clay court than him.

#1 Borg / Nadal

The rest don't really matter.

The bigger question, will Nadal be considered greater than Borg if he wins RG 2012?

I think he already is.
I mean, I know Borg retired young, but not only the French Open counts here.
Nadal has 16 Masters crowns, Borg has 8. Nadal will win at least, 2 more Montecarlos, one Rome (But that number is AT LEAST. He'll probably win 3/4 Montecarlos 2/3 Romes).

Clearly Connors.

Yes, Connors is 5th all time, Clerc is 6th, on 300+ clay matches. Federer is actually 7th. Would have to go 17-1 to match Connors in wins/losses.

Wow, Connors was solid on the clay. I would say that Italian fellow who beat Borg twice at RG and won it in 1976(?). He was better than Borg's bendover pal Vilas.

How can people not put Borg in the top 5 ever on clay? :smash:

Also surprised Bruguera isn't here.

The best is Nadal. People also forget that Borg lost some US Opens on clay.

:stupid: Yeah, let's compare "Masters crowns". Perfectly fair comparision. Not at all biased in favour of the modern player. :stupid:

1.Nadal

2.Borg

3.Lendl
4.Rosewall
5.Wilander
6.Kuerten
7.Federer
8.Laver
9-10:Nastasse/Vilas/Bruguera/Muster (any of them)

Djokovic might get robbed by his rightful place in the top 10 because he might never win RG with Nadal still around.
