I actually rediscovered Almagro this tournament. I really forgot how exciting he can be to watch when his game is on. Always spectacluar matches with this guy (not even talking about his emotional outbursts here :p).

I love Almagro's game (although I don't like him as a player/person), but don't trust his mentality one bit. He'll get into winning positions but waste them in every set. He can only beat one of the top players, especially Nadal, if he somehow loses his small time mentality.

The way u put it,he has to go for Nadal and try to hit him with a ball or something similar to what happened in the match against Berdych at the AO.That would be something,trying to hit your opponent on purpose.Lendl was famous for that,trying to make his opponent feel insecure.

On paper this should be a tough one for Rafa. ALmagro seems very confident and is playing well. Cannot imagine Rafa losing to ALmagro (but hey stranger things have happened). Could Almagro take a set or two? He could but giving the benefit of doubt to the six time champion I have to go with the popular poll option here - rafa in straights.

Not a foregone conclusion though - tough to read too much from the pico match considering he was spent from his battle with Raonic. And almagro has much more firepower than pico (albeit a bit less consistency). To make matters worse tomorrow would be cloudy/slight rain so rafa will not be able to bounce the ball high to almagro's one handed backhand. This last point will prove critical as it will also give Almagro time to launch into his shots. Sure Rafa's defense could soak it all up and then some but it could get interesting.
