Tsonga has been uneven; Stan can do it! Go Stan! :D

A repeat of last year's fantastic R3 match, this time in R4.

Hopefully Tsonga prevails this time, but should be a cracker. Can't really call this one. Wawrinka has played a lot of tennis in his first three matches, but he's a beast physically. Tsonga is playing very decently and wants to reach his first QF in Paris.

Jo in 5.

Idk about in 5, if I remember last years matchup Stan barely edged him out in that 3rd set tiebreak and that was when you knew Wawrinka was going to win because Tsonga was completely spent physically.
I think Jo has a good chance in taking this 3 or 4 but I'm going with Stan in 5

Scheduled for ultra fast Chatrier. What a gift for Clownga that Fabio played a marathon the night before.

Tough to say, the Clown is experiencing his best season to date on the dirt with wins over Verdasco and Delpo but he's still a fool on the surface.

Stan is really embracing the role of being the villain as we found him in yet another stage where the crowd was against him (vs. DY last year in Flushing, vs. Baggy in Australia, vs. Seppi in Rome) on Friday when he beat Frenchman Gillou in 5 setter.

But a 5 setter to open this thing against Cipolla, then a 4 setter with Andujar and the aforementioned 5 hour duel with Simon begs the question how much does Stan have left in that ugly, ugly tank

Going to go with Stan the Man. On clay Tsonga isn't as good as he is on hard.

On top of that Stan's mental aspect of his game has made SLIGHT improvements at least in comparison to Tsonga's.

I actualy can't imagine how this match's gonna be.
I just know it'll be amazing. Great tennis.

Offensive clay tennis is the best evur.

Now... PLEASE.
No clownga. Please Jo, no Clownga!

It could be a good match, honestly. I want to see at least the beginning of it.

Wawrinka in 3. Jo is too much of a clown to win these types of matches. Hell, I don't even see him beating Stan on a regular basis, regardless of whatever surface.

Damn, i'm voting as the majority, which usually means it's wrong.. :(

But perhaps this thread not being as popular as most others, it has gathered ppl who know their tennis - Wawrinka in 4 is the call.

if he's running the marathon for fun yes. But this tennis.

Reference - Isner's serve from 15-15 up.

It's not about pure endurance, it's about precision first and power after, which both afect the decision making abilities, when you're not fresh enough.

Phisical condition matters in tennis and it's directly related with precision, note this, it's important.

Wawa's played two 5 setters and a 4 set match, but if he's feeling physically fine he'll easily have enough to beat Tsonga.

It's utterly depended on Wawrinka.

Tsonga is a better player than Wawrinka so Jo in 4 (because it's clay).

Hopefully Wawrinka because Djokovic right now couldn't beat Tsonga.
