Me thinks the live score board is wrong about who's to serve. Either that, or we have a very good returning Swede!
Anayway Lopez is now leading 6-5 in the second set.

Impressive game from Ryderstedt! I am following this kid since 3 years, cause i am a big swedish fan, and he plays big in Stockholm. Never forget, it is his 1st ever ATP-Tournament. And also in challenger he just played maximum of 10 tournaments. Normally plays futures!-But that will change!!!

The interesting thing: He was Number 2 in swedish juniors behind Söderling.

I wouldn't say that Sparkus8. Ryderstedt had many wasted break point opportunities as well! He could have finished it in 2 had he converted one of those.
I really wonder if ryderstedt was playing that well, or if Feli just played shite!

Disagree, if you were watchiing the point by point updates you would have noticed that when lopez got broken he had 40-30 in most games but failed to serve the games. Most of Ryderstedt break point chances came after Lopez failed to convert his game point chances.

And there is no way ryderstedt should have come close in the 2nd set. Lopez was up 4-1 and served for the set at 5-3, but unlike Lopez Ryderstedt was able to capatilize at key moments.

I think it may have been a combination of Ryderstedt playing well and Lopez playing pretty poorly. I have seen a few of his matches recently and he never really gets into big trouble on his serve, but today every one of his service games seemed to be a struggle.

No chance so far for Jonas. What is really wondering me: 5 Aces for Agassi in 2 service games. That is tough against such a returner like Björkman! And Agassi has not the best service at all.

Chris-swede
10-28-2004, 05:15 PM
@björkfish? Where are you???

Björkman gets one break back! Only 2-5 down now. Perhaps some confidence for next set! But Agassi is awful in form! 6-2,6-2 vs Vliegen is great! Now 5-2 up against Björkman....

Oh please, that would be silly. When you have a lot of favorites, you have to rank them. I do it all the time (Kiefer v Haas in LA final for instance). No worries :D

gambill still was thinking about these breakpoints and that was his fault, a typical gambill choke job

Man, to be serving above 60% with 10 aces and 2 unforced errors and still be losing the match. I cannot imagine what it is like for him in that arena full of screaming Swedes.

Deboogle!.
10-28-2004, 07:42 PM
tangy, Tommy already won :)

PimPim is serving at 75%... that pretty much leaves most opponents with no chance.

Yep, he is serving even better. I have to wonder if this match isn't just a little boring to watch, all serve. I bet that hardly any of the points have had more than three shots.

Chris-swede
10-28-2004, 07:44 PM

The problem is: You do not get very much breakpoints, so you are very mad if u cannot use them! ;)

it must be very frustrating when you have 0-40 and still can't break him, at this point gambill realised he had no chance of winning this match and blows his serve to lose the match, it's called rules of tennis

Chris-swede
10-28-2004, 07:47 PM
C'mon now Pimpim, get him done!

So you are saying JMG intentionally blew his serve in the next game so that he could go home before 10 pm? You don't know him very well. No, you don't know him at all.

2 UFE and 12 aces  Jan Mikes really playing well!!!

I think the UE numbers on this scoreboard have to be way off. A lot of the time they have someone having 0 UEs in a set and that just doesn't happen that often, and they are also not counting doublefaults as UEs either, which they are. so yea I wouldn't glean too much from that stat.

Chris-swede
10-28-2004, 07:50 PM
2 UFE and 12 aces  Jan Mikes really playing well!!!

The unforced errors stats in Stockholm is allways wrong. Nobody can do so less mistakes and lose in 2 sets. It is not really possible. I know it from the last year. It is silly!

you can't break pim pim even if you have 0-40

Yes you can if your name is Roger Federer

No, if you have 3 breakpoints and can't use them the chance to lose serve in the next game is very high, he also lost the 1st set so it was pretty obviously that he will lose serve at this point and i was predicting it right

to say that i really know him well

Roger Federer isn't the best return player in the world. Do you know who is the best? I tell ya, his name is David Nalbandian. He is the best return player in 2004. Just look at the matchfacts at atptennis.com

His return is better as Federer's. :)

Pimpim has won! Wow! Another easy win and another no-break-tennis for him!!! Very interested how Ryderstedt will play tomorrow against him!

According to the SB PimPim aced his way out of those bp's in that game, but I agree that when something like that happens and there's no changeover, the chances of losing serve in the next game are higher than normal. I see what you were saying now.

I agree, if Joachim continues to play that well, he has an excellent chance at winning this tournament, and its always cool to win a tournament at home. Okay, I'm off to update my site. My beast is still playing doubles....
