Miami results from 2011 excluded he is number 11. Will he be out of top 10 after Miami, or will he finally have a better tournament? I think he has to count on Tipsarevic doing poorly.

Tennis will be able to survive to this loss, me thinks... romismak 03-20-2012, 07:45 PM Finally, he was good-deserved to be top 10 from summer 2010-summer 2011 but that´s it, in 2012 there is no place for him there. Delpo will be back, Isner is in last months best US player. reery 03-20-2012, 07:46 PM Yep. Filo V. 03-20-2012, 07:48 PM It doesn't take a huge amount for Mardy to retain his top 10 position. But I think he's going to lose early in Miami. Pressure is on him and it will tell. I think he's going down R3 at the latest. Gillouthe best 03-20-2012, 07:51 PM Hell yes, Fish time in Top-10 is over. stanch 03-20-2012, 08:01 PM Yep, it's inevitable. samanosuke 03-20-2012, 08:03 PM thanx God seljanin 03-20-2012, 08:35 PM Finally, he was good-deserved to be top 10 from summer 2010-summer 2011 but that´s it, in 2012 there is no place for him there. He has been poor this year. Last year he deserved to be in the top 10 but not this year. 156mphserve 03-20-2012, 08:58 PM Question, Miami from last year ended one week sooner right? so in theory it should drop this weekend, but where Miami is 1 week later there are no rankings until Miami ends, so it wll count for 53 weeks? Why don't they publish a new rankings mid event in 2 week long events like grand slams, and IW/Miami? I mean challengers, and futures are still going on, why should those players have to wait to put their points on just because the ATP event is 2 weeks long? r2473 03-20-2012, 09:00 PM Probably will drop behind Tipsy, Del Potro, and Isner to number 11. But he will still be only a few points from #10. If he manages to earn ANYTHING during the clay season, he will be top 10 again before wimbledon. Then he'll have to defend his wimbledon, canada, and cincy points. Evitman 03-20-2012, 09:04 PM TBH, what significant things had Fish done to be a top 10 player? Punky 03-20-2012, 09:05 PM his time in the top 10 is over r2473 03-20-2012, 09:10 PM TBH, what significant things had Fish done to be a top 10 player? When the top 4 are consistently in the semis of every major tournament, all you need are consistent quarters and rd16 finishes to be top 10. Toss in the odd semi and finalist and there you go. 156mphserve 03-20-2012, 09:14 PM TBH, what significant things had Fish done to be a top 10 player? Futures points are accounted 2 weeks after the tournamentes. Stronga23 03-20-2012, 10:28 PM Monfils deserves to be in the Top 10 he has been excellent since the summer HC season last year he will obtain tons of clay points this year. henke007 03-20-2012, 10:31 PM Yes he will drop out and after the summer he will be out of top 30 were he belongs!! Clay Death 03-20-2012, 10:32 PM fish got fished out. he was overrated anyway. Certinfy 03-20-2012, 10:55 PM Monfils deserves to be in the Top 10 he has been excellent since the summer HC season last year he will obtain tons of clay points this year. Would be awesome if we could have these guys all in the top 10: 1) Djokovic 2) Nadal 3) Federer 4) Murray 5) Ferrer 6) Tsonga 7) Berdych 8) Del Potro 9) Monfils 10) Isner Would be a great top 10. Gael> Janko :D Certinfy 03-20-2012, 11:03 PM Gael> Janko :D Definitely. How guys like Tipsarevic, Almagro and Fish got into the top 10 is just :help: :tape: 156mphserve 03-20-2012, 11:06 PM Futures points are accounted 2 weeks after the tournamentes. not true. Futures points are added in groups. For instance Canada F1, and Canada F2 don't both get added 2 weeks after they finish, they get added at the same time, this time may be right after Canada F2 finishes, or a week after that or 2 weeks after that, but every futures tournament doesn't get added 2 weeks after it finishes, some get added immediately, some 1 week, some 2, some 3 based on how they group them, and when they add each group. Certinfy 03-20-2012, 11:09 PM Fish is defending: Miami SF Wimbledon QF Atlanta W LA Final Toronto Final Cincinnati SF Tokyo SF Good luck saying in the top 20, Mardy. Filo V. 03-20-2012, 11:12 PM Most of those points are defendable. Only Miami and Toronto look out of reach. 156mphserve 03-20-2012, 11:17 PM not the way he's playing atm Cincinnati is the same as Miami, but Miami is out of reach yet Cincinnati isn't? BroTree123 03-20-2012, 11:35 PM Has a cake draw. So if he loses early again, it will reveal how poor this loud-mouth is atm. The reason you might think this is that the rankings weren't updated a week ago due to the length of Indian Wells (and also Miami) 156mphserve 03-20-2012, 11:42 PM Nope. The reason you might think this is that the rankings weren't updated a week ago due to the length of Indian Wells (and also Miami) exactly, we don't get a new ranking when we have a 2 week tournament, because it's 2 weeks long, isn't that exactly what I said? 156mphserve 03-20-2012, 11:44 PM Has a cake draw. They aren't, though it ends up being that way a couple of times a year when you have two week long tournaments. 156mphserve 03-20-2012, 11:50 PM yeah, you're right, my mistake. I thought I remembered seeing it happen one week that there wasn't a 2 week tournament though but I can't find an example of it now, so I guess not. Anyways, has a losing record against Fish . But hopefully it will change. Gotta get past Chardy first. I can't rely on Chardy taking out Fish :o. | |
