He's not winning a single title from the French Open, when he will win the next one?

Monte Carlo or Barcelona, after that though, it could be the same tournaments in 2013.

Nadal is going to come out like a beast on clay, just like he did in 2010.
Monte Carlo will likely be a massacre.
Djokovic will actually do well to stay away and try to defend Madrid and Rome rather.

Monte-Carlo or Barcelona.

This.
I think only Novak can stop Rafa's MC streak, but I don't think he's gonna play there. However, there's no way Rafa doesn't win a single title during the clay season so last four options in the poll are quite stupid. The real question is - when will he win next hardcourt title, but there's already a thread about that, I believe...

Miami.:rocker2:

He actually had a great shot here, just like at the Aus Open and in Tokyo etc. - he's not exactly been that far off titles - just kept coming up short. See no reason why he can't win in two weeks but agree that the more likely option is Monte Carlo. I really really hope he wins Miami though - he's lost 3 finals there! Plus I want him to win a freaking HC Masters - hasn't won since IW 2009 which is ridiculous - Murray & the Djoker are great but Rafa needs to steal one soon.

He's got a good chance in Miami(just like Federer Djokovic and maybe even Murray Delpo have) Then on clay when he is healthy a title will definitely come (Monte Carlo or Barca I think)

Djoko should play Barcelona just to play mind games with Nadal.

MC probably.

Since when he plays in Halle?

Since this year.
Anyways it will be either MC or Barcelona it depends if Djokovic will skip Nole Open this year for Monaco.

Since this year.
Anyways it will be either MC or Barcelona it depends if Djokovic will skip Nole Open this year for Monaco.

Barcelona has quite a strong field this year - Murray, Ferrer, Berdych, Tipsarevic. We'll have to see if Murray keeps up last year's clay form and whether Nadal is better than he was in his woeful clay form last year (losing a set to Murray at MC is not a good sign!).

Nadal should destroy this clay court season once he gets on there. I really don't think Nole (given his decline) will ever beat Rafa again on clay, let alone take a set off.

he can win miami if he makes sure he does the following:

1. ditch doubles
2. do not hesitate on the backhand
3. maintain depth

forget about montecarlo, he will just stand and stare and they will give away the trophy to him.....

Andy can't beat Rafa on clay. And don't even bother talking about last year's SF in Monte Carlo. Yes, he did play an amazing set there (6-2 IIRC), he totally outplayed him, but he can't hold it for the whole match...

Novak showed at the AO he can still beat Nadal at his lower 2012 form, now Federer showed he can beat Nadal on outdoor HC and got the monkey off his back. Murray beating Nadal on clay would be good for the game, would shake things up even more and make draws exciting again instead of already knowing Murray will make the SF and lose to Nadal. He has the game, just has to get it together mentally.

I'm actually glad Rafa lost in SF of Indian Wells. Now he can focus his game, mind, and hunger on Miami, which he will finally win this year. At worst, his next title comes in Monte Carlo.

Djoko should play Barcelona just to play mind games with Nadal.

And Rafa to play Belgrade :yeah:

Probably Monte Carlo. Would be funny if Murray went one better this year and actually beat him there though.

Murray needs to focus on beating Guillermo Garcia Lopez before he even thinks of beating Nadal in Monte Carlo.

It'll have to be MC. While he has had success in Miami, he has afterall never won a title and has lost all 3 finals he played there. I think the trend will continue for him there :/

Nadal will only win titles on clay in 2012. Like in 2011.

it all starts for him in monte carlo.

No male player won at the same tournament for 8 years in row. Never. Sears, Gonzales and Rosewall could only win the same tournament for 7 years in a row like Nadal has done so far in Monte Carlo. Nadal has history against him in Monte Carlo this year. No male player did this at a tennis tournament since the 1800s. Just saying.

Nadal is happy with his progress and that he beat a difficult opponent lik Granollers in straight sets:

"Always I believe that I can play better. But I am happy. I stayed one month and a half almost outside of competition. I came back winning a few comfortable matches in straight sets against not an easy opponent, like Marcel Granollers."

That made me laught, that he mentioned Grannollers but not Nalbandian.

I wonder if the same people who downplay Federer's Olympic double gold will be the same who will up-play Nadal's double results...

He's got a good shot at winning Miami, especially if Djokovic is taken out by Murray or someone else. I don't see Nadal losing to Federer again here. If not, then Monte Carlo is almost a given. I don't even see Djokovic beating him here. If all else fails, there's always Barcelona.
