Who is the strongest tennis player?

Max strength in bench press, squat and deadlift.

Out of the top 4, I'd say;

Bench press: Nadal, Federer, Djokovic, Murray
Squat: Nadal, Djokovic, Federer, Murray
Deadlift: Nadal, Federer, Djokovic, Murray

But this discussion ain't limited to the top 4 obviously.

Murray has to be stronger than Federer in some of those categories surely?! The guy is 6 years younger and really built up now.

Would say Murray would give Nadal the closest run for his money based on all that training he does in Miami. Looking at their upper bodies they're both really well built - Nadal's arms are still the scariest by a mile though.

murray can definitely bench press more than djokovic.

also, with his thick legs you'd think he leads in the squat department.

Rafa = Fed Killa

Murray is strong but very dumb
Federer is weak and dumb
Djokovic is average strength and very smart
Nadal is very strong and smart

Negative, the hitting the forehand with power requires the pectorals as prime movers.

Murray's forehand is powder-puff, one can only conclude he'd suck at the bench press as well.

Being as weaponless as he is, gives you an indication that Murray is by far the weakest physically of the top 4.

I think Isner can take Karlovic, he seems more well built and for sure grew up playing some basketball beeing american and all.

It's kind of silly, but i'm curious about stuff like this as well.

I think the order for all of these would be Murray, Nadal, Djokovic, then Federer.

I think Murray has the strongest legs for lifting, period. I don't know how one would figure that someone would be better at squat, but not better on deadlift, because they work such similar areas. So Murray would be the strongest on squat and deadlift. That doesn't mean that he can run the fastest, etc. The best cyclers and sprinters in the world would get embarrassed in a weight-lifting competition, just like the best power lifters wouldn't be able to compete at all in sprinting/cycling events. Murray just appears to have the most muscle in his legs.

Bench press is interesting because none of these guys really have a well-developed chest. Nadal and Murray both have decently developed arms, specifically triceps for this exercise. But you can't use those if you can't get the bar off your chest. Honestly i'd guess that Murray benches the most as well. He just looks like he works out in a gym more often than the others, so of course he'll get those muscles. They don't necessarily mean much at all as far as transferring to his tennis game.

I'd be most interested so see them all in a 40-yard dash(as an NFL fan, that's how we measure pure explosiveness, acceleration, and a little distance for top speed), though a 100m sprint would be cool as well.

You have some massive hate for Murray, don't you? Murray is the fastest of the top 4. Nadal and Djokovic are close behind him, though.

Also, he's stronger than Djokovic and Federer :wavey: Nadal is very built, so he's obviously the physically strongest, but he's bot much stronger than Andy.

Also, the strongest players on tour would be Isner and Karlovic.

Well, they're pretty damn big and I can imagine them being pretty damn strong too, but now that I think about it, I'm sure Nadal is stronger. In fact, I'm sure Murray is too. Not sure about Djokovic or Federer though.

When it comes to speed, nobody beats Monfils.
