Saturday is going to be nuts with winds gusting up to 60 mph. So much for the "perfect weather" that this tournament always brags about. Perfect weather if you like winds, sunstroke, allergies, airborne viruses and now it looks like some rain too LOL.

Yeah, California will not be very sunny starting today. It's been a pretty dry year so far, so the rain is a good thing, just not for tennis.

Nadal's draw was too difficult so he needed more luck. Hope Fed will tank against Delpo and avoid wind humiliation

Federer will beat Nadal 6-3, 6-3 on slow IW surface in cyclone winds.

 nice trolling . as condition are worse Fed is bigger underdog . Miami is probably the worst place on entire ATP tour for Fed playing Rafa . Difference between IW and Miami was lack of humidity and wind, now it isn't anymore

Prepare your tissues...it sounds like crying season for you has begun :)

On a more serious note, Roger has spoken of his ability to adapt to the elements and enjoying the challenge.

I still remember one windy afternoon in Miami where Fed broke his racket in frustration ;)

maybe that could be an advantage for rafa vs fed, but vs the djoker not at all. Rafa loves the sun and the heat. djoker not so much...

it looks like for the first semi there are some chances, but for the second one, i'm not so sure...

Any chance they'll move the second semi to another court and start them both at the same time? That would be the smart thing to do, but TV probably means it won't happen. Bad news for Nadal and Isner who also have a doubles final later in the evening. Perhaps more so for Nadal who has more chances of getting through his semi....

From a webcam in Coachella Valley, Thousand Palms, California.

Clouds are starting to build up as you can see.
This is about 10 miles to the northwest from Indian Wells Tennis Garden, looking west.

There is a time-lapse video in the calendar below...

Great. Nole will be rested for the finals, Nadal won't

Just pass the trophy to Nadal already.
