David will have to raise his level significantly from where it's been this week to make it happen. Plus he's played back to back three setters. Rafa should win in straights.

nalbandian is playing very well and he won't implode into unforced errors like dolgo, i think he will give nadal a masterclass in real tennis.

The question is: How many games will Nalby win? I would say 6...

Nadal will cruise to an easy victory. The surface is just perfect for Nadal's game. Slow and high bouncing. Nalbandian will have to be inch perfect, serve beautifully, and be really consistent with his ground strokes to beat Nadal, and I still don't think it'll be enough. Nadal in two.

Nadal is cruising to the title here. Only Djokovic can stop him on this kind of surface and he hasn't looked 100% this week.

rafa is not playing really well but he seems to have good self-confidence so far and first serve is working good.. nalbandian hitting well too.. i think this will be a good to watch with some good rallies.. i don't know if it will go to 3 sets but i'm sure that rafa will win somehow at the end.. 30 year old nalbandian doesn't have enough ability to hurt rafa, that's just it..

They may have been tough matches, but still only 3 sets. This is men's tennis.:)
The men have even played doubles on the same day they played singles.
Mr. Nalbandian doesn't play till Friday, so he has a day between the Tsonga and Nadal match.
It should be plenty to recover unless he is fighting an illness or injury.
Generally, the extra match play probably even helps those that have not been playing as deep into tournaments as others.

sometimes he plays doubles from the baseline. just the way i used to play doubles. so i made it a social activity rather than engaging in any effort to improve my net game and the like.

i know he wants more court time but you can also practice more for that.

I fail to understand those who pick Nalby in three. Unless Nalby steamrolls Nadal in two sets 2007 style, then there's just no way he is winning this. And since Nalby's current level isn't at his 2007 level AND these courts are dead slow, I find it hard to see Nadal even getting pushed to three sets, but I hope to be proven wrong. There's nothing better than watching Nalby school Nadal.

David always starts out pretty well against Rafa, so I really think Nalbandian will take the first set. After that, it will really be all on Nalbandian's racket, or rather in his head. Either way, Nalbandian should be flowing with confidence as he went through a pretty brutal draw having to take out two top 10 players and certainly Cilic is a tough opponent as well. Only thing I'm worried about is his fitness as always. He has had to play 2 tough 3 setters, and his wins over Cilic and Starace weren't exactly walks in the park either.

Expecting a Nadal victory in 2 sets, with only one of them being competitive. Nalbandian has all the weapons to demolish Nadal (see 2007), but lacks consistency. Also, I don't get where all the negativity about Nadal's form is coming from..it's looking pretty good to me.
