muggopolov is declining already. Mugdal can't physically lose any event before the final, unfortunately. He takes this in two, 6-0, 6-0. There will probably be at least one golden set (ie. Mugopolov fails to win a point in a set).

It would be big surprise if Dolgo somehow managed to win 8 games.

Nadal 6-3, 6-4 but this is probably too ordinary scoreline for Randompolov, so probably 6-0, 6-7(12), 6-1 for Nadal.

Dolgo will try to play without his slice and try risky flamboyant crossed backhands hit from over his shoulders that will most often miss the target, more over he wont be able to defend against Nadal's heavy topspin strokes. Nadal 6-3 6-2.

I can see an upset, but can also see a Nadal rout. 70% chance Nadal wins. However, it is a law that every match involving Dolgopolov, Almagro, or Kohlschreiber must go to 3 sets

I can't see it happening, probably something like 6-3 6-4.

Here you have what happens when you slice against Nadal, caution: sensitive viewers do not watch because of extreme violence against poor Santoro's trick shots:

Watch the contrast to Santoro doing his tricks against Djokovic, remember it is all about matchup:

Dolgo can hit flat backhands if he wants.

He will probably slice though, its his natural game.

Rafa in 3. Dolgopolov wins the 1st set 7-5 after coming for a 2-5.
But then Rafa shows his super saiyan form, 5-7 6-2 6-1

Wow, I miss Santoro. Gorgeous points against Djoko.

I can see why Safin hated him.

People say that full western grip is weaker against low slice.

I disagree.

Full western grip means you have the topspin to hit low balls as hard as you like, because the spin will lift the ball high over the net and still bring it down. Meaning you can be as aggressive as you like on even the most perfectly hit slice (which is a low percentage shot as a perfect slice must travel very low over the net, so the slicer will make more errors than you anyway)

Additionally full western is easier on high balls.

So Nadal is in his comfort zone hitting extremely high balls and extremely low balls and everything in between.

There is no way you can break down the Nadal forehand.

Their match last year in Miami stunk of shit.

Nadal again, just as easy.

Nadal is even a worse match up for Dolgopolov than he is for Federer if such a thing is possible...

Come on guys, this will be a cake walk for Nadal. Nadal's winning Indian Wells this year. The courts are slower and higher bouncing than Monte Carlo, and Djokovic doesn't look 100%. It's a foregone conclusion.

If Federer makes the semis against Rafa it's going to be very ugly for poor old Roger.

First things first though, if there's anyone unpredictable, it's Dolgo. He could play out of his skin... or utter crap :p

There is no way you can break down the Nadal forehand.

You can outpower Nadal's forehand, bring him to his knees. It is not like if he can use pace like Federer right back at whoever is bombing his forehand with flat power strokes (like Del Potro). Nadal can only defend with forehands going high up on his opponents backhand when dealing with power strokes, a predictable pattern that can look very weak against anyone in form and who is tall (Del Potro, Soderling) or have a great backhand (Murray, Djokovic, Nalbandian).

If Funky Flo can beat Nadal, Why not Dolgo?

Well he's a break down already - 4-1 Nadal and they've only been playing 10 minutes or so! Nadal will crush Dolgo on these ultra slow high bouncing hard courts.

If Funky Flo can beat Nadal, Why not Dolgo?

Flunky flo indoors has a pretty big serve and can cover the net, also he has a better and more consistant topspin backhand than Dolgo, he can jump up and hit some pretty good topspin backhands on Nadal's crosscourt forehands, he is tall while Dolgo is a dwarf in tennis terms.

It was not Mayer's slice that broke down Nadal, that much is certain.
