Sad to see Dave lose (it) like that, but Ferrer was simply too good tonight.

This match disappointed in a way as the Nalbandian-Monaco match did.

Disappointing match, especially on the part of Nalby's, but then I never really understood the hype that always seems to surround matches of his.
Great player, sure, very talented, yada yada yada, but never seems capable of living up to the expectations outside of DC matches.
In other words, the outcome of this match was N.I.D. David Ferrer is #5 on the rankings list for a mighty good reason.

Happy to see Pics make it through. Go get that title now, David! :rocker2:
And btw thanks for a lot of much needed vCash. :smoke:

ferrer played his best level, it seems hes much more aggressive this year?
nalbandian was average and unable to get into the match, mostly down to ferrer outplaying him.

Nalbandian was awful, Ferrer just had to play a fairly decent level and that was that.

3 months ago Argies were mad on Delpo when he lost 4th match to Nadal because Nalby would trash Ferrer in deciding match

3 months ago Argies were mad on Delpo when he lost 4th match to Nadal because Nalby would trash Ferrer in deciding match :lol:They clearly were misinformed in that case; while I'm not even really aware of their H2H and only started to watch after the rain delay, it was pretty obvious he doesn't like to play Ferrer at all, looking quite uncomfortable out there, and unsure as what to do against the Spaniard.

Yeah, because Nalbandian plays the same way in Davis Cup and in a 250 tournament.

And people here knew Delpo played a fantastic match against Nadal, nobody was mad at him.

you're always so talented at bringing cold water to refresh people's enthusiasm

I don't understand that : these players all play great tennis, I don't understand cold water, which is very common on MTF, but you're one of the most talented at that.

Nalbandian has never liked playing Ferrer, and especially on clay Ferrer was a clear favorite but "never in doubt" doesn't exist in tennis imo between such great players, esp after what Nalbandian had shown in previous matches.

 I thought he would be anyway, was just that Pics was doing his utmost to hang on to it in only a way he can haha - Tsonga won Doha, Pics responded by winning Auckland, then Jo only had to match his performance at AO, Ferrer reached the quarters and Tsonga lost to Kei :p and then this week

was quite a battle :hatoff:
