If anyone is interested in becoming a USTA certified tennis official, here are a couple of links that can help you start the process. Please feel free to ask me any questions as well.

This link is from the ITF Officiating page, with non USTA specific information/FAQs.

Woodrow I have always been interested to read your info on being a chair umpire and you have provided many great stories etc.

I have two questions:

1) are you still a chair umpire, and if so what is your badge currently?
2) why does Richard Haigh, who is a silver badge iirc, do line judge duties at the World Tour Finals? I thought only bronze badge officials and below would really be interested in calling lines still since silver badges and higher have many options in chairing at tournaments.
