Raonic should take the title. It's one of the few fast surfaces left.

Yeah, I thought he was injured? Or maybe he just hates Canada and threw the tie?

I think he hit 155 mph on one of his serves. Can't be sure though, foggy stream made it hard to see the speed display from a distance

according to SAP twitter he did. They say he served 155 and 156 in a row but the 156 was a fault. Karlovic wtill owns the record for now

Canada’s Milos Raonic says that a misread MRI on his injured left knee forced him to pull out of his Davis Cup match against France’s Jo-Wilfried Tsonga on Sunday and that if it had been read correctly he would have played.

Frank Dancevic subbed in for Canada’s top player and lost to Tsonga to clinch the tie 3-1 for France.

"It was bad luck last week," Raonic told TENNIS.com in San Jose. “After we lost to doubles I went to have an echography [in Vancouver] and I was told I had four millimeter tear in the tendon and it was month long recovery. I was told that if I played on Sunday it could completely snap and I’d be out for eight to 12 months. So it was a no- brainer not to play. So I spoke to my doctor in Spain and I came here because I knew the services were really good at the Stanford Medical Clinic. I did an MRI and I was told it was just misplaced fluid instead of a tear and it was just showing tendonitis and I could play through, it won’t get any worse. It was little a disheartening because I was in the dark and I wish I could have played. If I knew I wasn’t taking a risk, I would have played Tsonga. I was sore, but I knew if I could take a pain killer, I could probably have played through the pain."

I am sure, Canadian captain is thrilled.

I am sure, Canadian captain is thrilled.

I don't think anyone cares how thrilled Martin Laurendeau is. He's a moron who has made more stupid decisions as captain of this team than anyone could dream of making.

It's disapointing that Milos could have played, but the only good thing that came out of it was Laurendeau looking like an idiot for playing him in doubles.

Counting down the days until Laurendeau is fired:)

Pathetic, he was fine during the double, of course he could've played and who know what would've happenned.

A misread of a MRI? You've got to be kidding me. That Tsonga match would have been great.

I guess the important thing is he's all right.

The speedgun at San José is always very kind. Might be the balls.

milos looked ok here
if he feels good and stays kinda healthy he should take the title, but if he's not fully fit, there can be some motivated opponents to make that knee run

Hope he will crack that Ivo´s record, Milos is consistenly serving bombs, he is right now for sure having hardest 1st serve on the tour consistently, when hitting flat he is mostly in 215-225 even higher in KM/H. Ivo on other side his fastest serves in last year didn´t go much higher than 135mph, mostly 128-132mph 1st serves flat bombs, even last year in San Jose when was shoot out contest Milos was serving much much hardet than Ivo. So he should take record from him, btw if anyone will say SAn Jose has weird radar than what about that DC doubles:D there was speed gun ok:D

I still think that fastest ever recored serve was Roddick 152mph at The USO 04. That Davis Cups, and especially San Jose's and Queen's speedguns are kinda weird. Slams have the best speedguns, the most reliable. Is there player who hit over 150mph at slams beside Roddick?

Dent hit 150 or 148 mph at USO 2005.

By the way it's funny that a player went from 142-140 mph at the AO to 155-156 here
These serve speeds record are a bit of a joke.

Agree with you that slams are really trustable-we can believe them for sure. Indoor conditions generally i think gives few mph but still the difference is too big, i am following and looking on serve statistcis all th etime - i like to watch and see Aces, 1st serve points won, service games won and of course serve speeds and we can see that at slams - last 4 slams 230km/h is generally limit for fastest serves- guys like Isner, Ljubicic, Milos, Roddick hit that, Soderling-Tsonga are close, but really 230km/h fastest so if someone will hit t slam 250km/h than i say wow that was big serve. Problem here could be that some guys don´t get the chance to play at big courts with speed guns - for public- slam statistics, so if Ivo is playing first 2 round and lost 2nd rounnd on small courts we can´t see his fastest serves in slam statistics. But i am following Ivo´s serve closely and every match that is in TV you can clearly see he is not hitting more than 135mph-how i metioned 125-135mph all the time flat bombs, Milos consistently is hitting harder 1st serves
