Nole will never lose to him again unless Nole plays at 20% or plays with a one-handed backhand.

Never. Djokovic retires this year to host his show, "My first souffle", and becomes a hit worldwide.

Never again.

Seriously, Rafa at 120% cannot touch Djokovic at 40% :sobbing:

Monte Carlo. If they do play before that, which I am sure they will. Rafa take a few more beatings.

why do you think that Monte Carlo would be any different?

2005 Rafael Nadal
2006 Rafael Nadal
2007 Rafael Nadal
2008 Rafael Nadal
2009 Rafael Nadal
2010 Rafael Nadal
2011 Rafael Nadal

Probably has something to do with it

Nadal's big problem in 2011 was not being agressive enough and playing with SUCH a horrible backhand. Djokovic was pummeling it over and over and Nadal was not stepping in often enough.

If he moves in to the net a bit more often, keeps Djokovic guessing, and maintains a good backhand (which has been looking pretty solid the first few matches of 2012), then he can beat him very soon.

I would say if Nadal were to face him in the Australian Open and he just took a bit more of an agressive stance that he can win. it looks bad and people on here exaggerate, 6 losses in a row sounds horrible but in reality most of the matches were very tight esspecially the Master Series face offs.

all Nadal needs to do is play similarly to how he did last year in Miami and Indian Wells, so I think Australia is a big chance...

of course regardless of if even DJokovic has another great clay season, the odds are he will lose to Nadal at during it. historically Nadal always begins to overcome doubt and odds on clay and I doubt it wiill be much different this season

If Rome was before Monte Carlo, I would say that. I know Novak beat him there last year, and that is a proper clay court, but Rafa was terrible. On a hardcourt, before that, its really out of his hands. If Novak is fit, hes just better than everybody else on that surface.

Honestly I think that if Novak plays again on the same level his chances to beat Nadal on clay are much greater than on hard or grass....

You have a lot of great points but this bold part is BS ....Nadal on his best is not even close to Novak at his best on that surface

i'm not a fan of nadal but even i know he will eventually beat nole and i say it will be at their first opportunity when playing each other.....one thing i can say about nadal, he never gives up and his fight is endless so i'm betting that the first opportunity be it clay, hard, grass, rebound ace, dont know what type of surface, but i'm picking nadal to win....that man has fight and gumption in him and i just feel it's a new year, new day, new dawn and me thinks nadal has got some tricks up his sleeve....i just dont see how nole, and i'm a big fan of nole's game....i mean after fed and dogopolov, he's my next favorite......nole has to lose sometime and i think it will be either to nadal or fed.....cat

If both reach the final, than i see Djoker loosing the AO 2012 final against Raffaello.

Don't know abraxas it's hard to say. Djokovic's style is a bad matchup for Nadal. Djokovic would require a terrible first serve or second serve night in order for Nadal to win the match. I doubt Nadal would defeat him here because he'd have to take out Federer then Djokovic, and that would require a massive amount of wear and tear on his body. Since I picked Nadal to win Roland Garros, IMHO, that will be the place Nadal will avenge his losses at a slam. But he'll probably defeat Djokovic at one of the clay master finals to get his first title win over him since a long time.

not anytime soon as nadal is still playing the same game as he did when he started losing to djoker.

Current Djokovic is simply out of Nadal's range. Nadal based his previous victories over Nole on physical superiority and Djoker's lack of confidence or belief, especially on clay. Now things have changed dramatically and I can't see Nadal beating an in-form Djokovic ever again.
He can't bother Nole unless his fitness drops to the pre-2011 level.

Good to see I'm going to get one of these right this time...

me too GSMnadal! i voted Nadal will beat him in the Australian Open final and think he definitely will if they do end up meeting there...

however Federer is going to be a tough task for Nadal.

I see Nadal getting to the final by abusing the Federer backhand BUT what i worry about is what lukeskywalker brought up- the fact that Murray might beat Djokovic in the SEMI's. honestly if Murray does make it to the final I feel like he is going to have this great momentum with his new coach and new strong mindset and that he will win the title.

would love to see Nadal-Djokovic final at Australia though. gotta end the loss streak sometime

Rafa's not beating Djoker in AO if they both make the finals, but I think he's got a good shot at RG if they play there.
