Ito was diabolical. Tomic was hitting clean winners all match but stuffed up the bagel in the 2nd set hitting unforced errors serving for the match at 5-0.

Tomic keeps running into the same people. Benneteau 3 times and Ito 4 times now. I'm glad he's finally playing well in his home state.

As mentioned, Ito was more or less diabolical in this match, and Bernard's real test will come later this month.

I don't believe there are too many players out there who he should truly fear facing - top 4 aside he has the game to trouble everybody out there.

this tournament seems to have been suited to tomic even down to court speed and draw. glad to see him making use of it though.
