Yeah. Tell me again Roger cared about the exho.

Neat performance. Pure shotmaking. Serverer. Good movements.
Davydenko, on the other hand, seems finished. He looked clueless there.

An anticlimatic match in the end. Expected a much better and closer match

Great serving and solid groundies from Roger.
Good nothing from Kolya...I miss the little man at his best:sad:

Anyway, good start Roger after a late start in the day.:clap2:

Both guys are 30 years but Davydenko looked more like 36-37 today.Federer played well and against a solid Davydenko he would have probably won but it would have been a lot closer. Now with his ranking slipping he might have to play qualies soon to get in the Masters Series draws.

Anyway, it's not going to work. Roger is not responsible for Nole's only loss in slams last year. :awww: I am. Only vbet I made in years was for RG 2011. Ruined it. :sobbing:

So your best option is finding a way to access my account and put all my vcash on Nole. :nerner:

Honestly if Fed hadn't monkeyed around last couple of years, he would have had 2 more slams at least. USO'09 and maybe Wimbledon '10 or '11.

Brilliant performance from Federer. Looks like he has added a few extra pounds of muscle to his frame imo, and was certainly hitting very well through the court in the slower, cooler evening conditions.

Sad to see Davydenko taken apart like that, especially as he was simply brilliant only two years ago to win the London WTF and then resume with some excellent performances in Doha at the beginning of 2010. Now he is simply a shadow of that player.

I'd hesitate to say that he is finished, but his game is certainly a lot more lightweight now, and I see him getting lost amongst the players at the lower end of the top 100. He still has the talent to pull off some (minor) surprises, but I think he is increasingly vulnerable now to poor results.

w/ue were 18/15 and 7/20. That sort of thing usually only comes with the TV networks, outside the slams they don't get recorded afaik.

Fed looked really good, but when he's at 85% first serve that's to be expected, pure confidence driver. Davydenko was ****, couldn't wait to get off the court.

Interesting that Fed's titles are now all coming on slow hard: last 5 have been WTF, Paris, Basel, Doha, WTF. Perhaps a good sign for Australia.

Or maybe, the small earnings he picks up are higher than the embarassment.

I didn't bring the subject up at all. I was very surprised that immediately after Roger beats Davydenko in such an emphatic manner, some Fed fans are thinking of Novak. I'm not sure whether Novak is in Roger's head, but he certainly is in some Roger's fans heads.

And, for the record, I don't get excited about Novak winning an exho, I get excited about Novak saving MPs at crucial grand slam matches with out-of-this-world winners. I'm looking forward to this year's treat.

It's rare to see Davydenko not being able to generate a single break point.

2011 -- Granollers, Madrid, no BP generated

Kevin Anderson, Miami, no BP generated

Federer, Doha, no BP generated

2010 – generated at least a BP in every match
2009 – generated at least a BP in every match
2008 – generated at least a BP in every match
2007 – generated at least a BP in every match

2006 – Robredo, Bastad

Impressive performance by Roger, looking very sharp indeed. No sign from Rolexer, as if anyone took that serious at all.

But... difficult to judge where he actually stands now, as Davydenko was just plain awful. It's sad to see a former top player, who's impressed me so often with his amazing shotmaking in the near past (a finalist only one year ago at Doha), going into such a decline - so fast and so steep!
Perhaps indeed time to call it quits, Denko.

Nadal never had problem winning slams with "Federer in the way" and he's a mug moonballer according to MTF, so why "talented" Baldenko couldn't score a win over Olderer in slams? I guess all that "talent" wasn't enough :awww:
