Second victory ever for the 19 yo Indian former junior #1 (since the first one was a 6-2 6-0 against Yew-Ming Si I think that one can say this is his first ATP MD victory ).

Some suspicious movements prematch, like with a lot of Beck "surprise" losses. Certainly put me off.

Actually in 2011 he won two futures (Mumbai and Lagos), but on the ATP and Challenger tours he played only four matches (lost to Kudryavtsev and Sugita, won against Wang and Sekiguchi). He's still 19 (born 1992) though, so we'll see.

It would be nice to se Bhambri make a move in 2012. Maybe get into a slam main draw and win a few ATP matches.

Inspite of this is a very good victory for him (and very bad for Beck),being former n~1 in juniors and a lot of expectations behind him it's too early to say anything positive of him yet. Heat and humidity could had been a factor, probably food too. It's not easy to play in Chennai at this time of the year.
I would like to see Bhambri doing it well on the CH tour and other tournaments outside of India.

By the looks of the highlights, Yuki's able to generate some decent power off both wings. Some nice bursts mid-rally.

I second that. Maybe the courts are fast, but Bhambri's strokes looked penetrating on both wings-- much better power than Somdev.
