Nico for being such a high ranked player I don't know why you don't have any more fans than you do?

Oh Mae thanks for posting here!!   I was totally alone few months ago.

Anyway, we should post the draw too!!! Nico is a second seeded. He has bye and in second round he play against Kavcic or Darcis. In QF possible is Rochus, then in SF Fognini or Raonic or never knows, isn't too hard this draw I guess.

Here is the link for the draw: http://www.atpworldtour.com/posting/2012/891/mds.pdf

Well it looks like it might just be you and I here  I can't figure out how such a high ranked player has no fans  Can you post a draw? I have never posted one before!

Sonja1989

I'm not happy because I said that Nico needs some matches before the AO.

Mae
01-05-2012, 09:20 PM
Well it seems to me that a lot of players are retiring even before the Match starts  And this is just the first of the season! What will they be doing in the 2nd half?

Sonja1989
01-06-2012, 03:55 PM
Nico won a huge match, he saved some match points in the second set, had 5-1 in the third even thought had serious problems in the last game, saved break points too but won it, 6-4!! Well done Nico. :worship:

Mae
01-06-2012, 11:04 PM

If it is alright with you since there is just two of us in here and Nico is not off to a hot start. I'm not going to start a separate thread for each Tournament unless Nico gets going and we get more people in here!

Sonja1989

Philipp Kohlschreiber defeated Nico 7-6, and 6-4

Sonja1989
01-12-2012, 10:21 AM
Mae  I'm not sure it's so bad, Almagro with a great result would be tired for the AO. AO is more important than tournaments like Chennai or Auckland.

Of course I'm always sad when he loses but still doesn't that bad.

Mae
01-12-2012, 10:53 AM
But he will go into the A.O. with very little Match time on court so that might not be good either

Sonja1989
01-12-2012, 11:16 AM
I think he played enough, about 4 matches, it should be okay. :) Plus hopefully he gets an easy opponent in first two round.

Mae
01-15-2012, 06:39 AM
I got the thread title changed :yeah: I have some help in GGL's Forum now also. So maybe we can keep all the Spanish players Forums going now

Sonja1989
01-15-2012, 10:59 AM
Great job Mae! I will check out that forum too. :)

Sonja1989

And he plays against Dimitrov next. I like Dimitrov too but Nico more btw. :p

Mae
01-18-2012, 08:42 AM
Nico is now playing in the 4th Set! He lost the 1st Set 4-6, won the 2nd Set 6-3, and lost the 3rd Set 7-6, and in the 4th Set they are on serve, but right now it is 3-2 Dimitrov.

Mae
01-18-2012, 08:50 AM

Sonja1989

And he did the fourth round again. Vamos!! :D  :rocker2: :woohoo:

Lee
01-20-2012, 05:28 PM
Thank God he won in 3 sets because eith I would fall asleep (very late in my timezone) or he would lose in 5 :tape: And from how happy he was after the match point (bowed down and kissed the ground), he was likely thinking the same.

Stan (according to commentator) had a pinched nerve and he was in pain most of the second set. everyone expected him to throw in the towel after losing second set. Even Nico kept looking at Stan after he won his first service game in third set, see if he went ofr a handshke. Stan kept playing and went for his shots while Nico lost his focus and ended up down a break. Nico fought back and Stan could not maintain his level. He won the next four games after broken 2-4

Hi Lee :wavey: It's nice to see a post from someone else in here! Nico doesn't seem to be very popular for some reason

Lee
01-21-2012, 03:18 AM
:wavey: Mae

Don't think Nico cares if he is popular in MTF. I like watching him plays, especially when he is not in his headcase mode.

Sonja1989
01-21-2012, 11:35 AM
How true  still nice to see you here

Mae
01-22-2012, 06:22 AM
Nico out of the A.O.

Mae
01-22-2012, 06:34 AM
I have a bad habit of overlooking players' names in a Tournament entry list. So I can't find Nico's next Tournament to change the thread title

Sonja1989
01-22-2012, 12:34 PM
  But the R4 isn't a bad result.

Mae, we still don't know he will play in Davis Cup or not, that would be his next tournament. Then Sao Paolo, Buenos Aires and Acapulco. It's his plan for the next month. :)

Lee
01-22-2012, 04:37 PM
Losing three TB sets  He really had his chance vs Berdych and if he managed to win a few of those BPs, it will be in QF *sign*

Mae

Thanks Di :) So I guess we will wait to see about the Davis Cup. I was upset that Thomas wouldn't shake his hand because I don't believe Nico meant to hit him at all! He was just trying to win the point which is what a player is supposed to do!

Lee
01-23-2012, 04:16 AM
Nico :haha:

@Mae: It wasn't too nice from Berdych, he can behave weirdly as well. Nico isn't an angel always but it was too rude from Tomas. :o
About Davis Cup, "The deadline for official team nominations is 10 days before the tie begins." It's about one week later I guess.

@Lee: OMG :haha: :haha: :haha: Thanks for posting.

Great Pic Lee :yeah: I guess since Nico was picked for the Davis Cup Team I can now change the Thread Title :)

So he plays DC and right after that weekend he asked for WC in Sao Paolo? Bit of a strange choice, no?

Great Pic Lee :yeah: I guess since Nico was picked for the Davis Cup Team I can now change the Thread Title :)

Yes, please! :D

So he plays DC and right after that weekend he asked for WC in Sao Paolo? Bit of a strange choice, no?

Yes, I was surprised. He will have bye in first round though. Oh my.. he shouldn't play there

Lee
02-01-2012, 03:59 PM
With playing DC, he has a chance to play in Olympics this year. He does not have much chance there but it will be a once in a life time experience, I guess.

Good luck Nico with the Dc tie and the SA clay court season.

Acapulco was a bit disappointing, but for the rest he is doing so great, especially on HC.
IW was great and he has a very good draw in Miami as well. Vamos!

And then hopefully a very good European clay season, better than last year. Hope he doesn't play Nice anymore, and can focus entirely on RG.

Sonja1989
03-21-2012, 03:07 PM
Yeah but he played two final in row, must have been tired.

That's a good news, he doesn't need Nice. It might be a good clay season also I was very pleased with his IW quarterfinal. :D

Ad Wim
04-02-2012, 01:21 PM
I so hope he doesn't play Nice. He is playing in the 5 weeks before that and he really needs the rest before RG. He can win a lot there and his focus should be on Paris.

Sonja1989
04-02-2012, 01:31 PM
He plays Munich instead, I think he doesn't want similar case like in last year. (I don't agree with Munich neither btw, still better than Nice. ;) )

Ad Wim
04-06-2012, 10:53 AM

Sonja1989

I agree  :ignore: This guy never learns. And at this time it's even worse, he will play in every week.. MC, Barcelona, Munich, Madrid, Rome, Nice and RG
