About Eriksson.

I just wanted to say, that my future in-laws are great. They were reportedly noisy during Ana's match today. So I've told you all how my dad is obsessed with psychics and stuff, right? Well he has a reading with Sylvia Browne's son on August 5 for half an hour and he asked me and my mom if we had any questions for him about our futures. I requested the following knowledge:

a) How old will I be when I get married?
b) Where am I going to be located?
c) What is my career path?

My dad claims that when he went to see this Native American psychic that he already answered 2 of the questions when he said that in a past life I was a Native American medicine woman and that when I hear drums it reminds me of my past life and tribal chants. He also said I would get married when I was 27-28. *sigh* My mom says the drum thing might explain why I like the sound of people whacking tennis balls so much :p Apparently that psychic also said I got married so late because my career was important to me. Say WHAT? WHAT CAREER? I HAVE NO PATH IN LIFE!

I told my dad the dude was on crack and to ask again because I don't believe that I am moving out West. Not only do I have no desire to move West, I have no reason to.

Anyway, that is all I have to say today :D

I only care enough about women's tennis to care about Serbian matches. ;)

And tennis isn't a national sport, it's an individual one. I don't care what country Venus Williams is from. If I don't like her, I don't like her.

That said, I would cheer for Serbia in Davis Cup and Fed Cup too. I don't like American players. I am not going to randomly cheer for players I don't like, just because they happen to be from here. I cheered for JCF with pride against Mardy Fish in the Olympics. I would cheer for Novak to tear James Blake's head off in Davis Cup. That's how I am, it REALLY shouldn't be a surprise that I don't like American tennis by now.

If Tommy Robredo was from Singapore, even though you think he's incredibly boring and you don't like him, you would cheer for him? Would you still call him Boredo if he was from Singapore? What if Tommy Robredo was from Singapore but was playing Gasquet? Would you still cheer for him then?

I mean, if it's Venus and someone I don't care about, I'll cheer for her I guess. I was glad she beat Raymond. If Venus was playing Sharapova I'd definitely cheer for her. But I support the Serbian players. Jelena far less so than Ana, but I do. If Jelena had played someone I liked more than Venus, like Clijsters or Mauresmo, I wouldn't have cheered for her. I would NEVER cheer for an American player against Novak, just for the sake that he's American against my favorite player. I'm surprised that you actually thought I WOULDN'T be happy that Jelena won.

But what it really, truly comes down to is that I want the Americans off the television coverage as soon as possible so I can actually get to see my favorites. Roddick gone, Blake gone, Fish gone, Venus gone... things are looking up.

Of course Nole will give him a fight. Nole gave him a fight when he was ranked 80-something in the world... and won. Novak leads the head-to-head, they are friends and they know eachother's games inside and out.

The probability of it being a complete blowout for Mario is about 5%. Honestly. People think Novak is a claycourter. WHY? He got to the third round last year here, this year is in the fourth. He can play on fast surfaces. If I see one more person say its his worst surface I will smack them. He lost in the first round of the AO twice now, did anyone stop and think maybe THAT'S his worst surface? djflkasjfklwejflkwejgfklasjdgklsadjgklejgklwejgkla sjgklsjgklajgklsdjgklasjgklwejslgk

It's like people who just met him this RG think he can only play on clay because people who excel on all surfaces are so rare now. Well he can, so they need to get used to it. Just because you can play on clay does not mean you suck on grass.

I hope Mario likes the looks of Nole's passing shots whizzing by when he comes into the net.

Scotso
07-03-2006, 03:23 AM

And hopefully the semis would be:

Nole/Verdasco
Murray/Nadal

And then the finals:

Nole/Murray

Nole = champion. We can't let a Brit win Wimbledon, now can we? ;)
Nole is British :p

Nole  so close. I got a couple of pics of him today but I only saw him briefly. And I took one of his little bro. Well, I think it was his little bro
