That's what I thought too when he drew Vemic :o

Paulo will win, just like as soon as Gasquet wins matches his bandwagon increases tenfold.

I saw Paulo last night :inlove: He cleans up so well.

:secret: Actually all the Frenchmen were well dressed and looking hot.

Julien Benneteau's coach started talking to us so I met (shook hands) with Julien.

Still a good showing in doubles though

Yes, it's a big joke. I mean I started playing TT at RG and have won a title, a finalist, semi finalist and 2 QFs and hardly won a match at singles.

I bet Tulasne has lost hair since coaching Paulo.

I know how Chucho is. There is one thing that is stopping him going as far as he can. He shits himself on the big occasions and Stuttgart is the perfect example.

He is very passive and while he has got better overall, it's very hard to exercise certain demons and the fact that Gonzo has it over him doesn't help and for once Gonzo used some variation. His forehand was very off, it wasn't cause he wasn't trying, just lost it mentally.

I was visiting a friend who's staying at one of the players hotels. There was a ton of delays - I'm pretty sure it took Grosjean 10 hours to get to Cincy - so really the French guy I saw practicing yesterday was Monfils.

The rest who practiced: Agassi w/Nicolas Lapentti, Djokovic w/Baghdatis, Blake w/Ginepri, Robredo, Wawrinka w/Bastl, Goldstein w/Rajeev Ram & Jesse Witten, Hrbaty, Kim w/Lee, Martin, Srichaphan, and the doubles guys who got WCs for the qualifying draw.

Well some players are hard work, look at Franco Davin he has stuck with Gaudio for this long, what a tough man he is.

The best thing about Goodall, he knows how to pronounce the names properly for the most part like Kitz and Båstad, though I am a bit doubtful on the way he pronounces Igor when he talks about Andreev.

I was at the player hotel until after 11 pm, then when I got home had to put in laundry, recharge batteries for my camera (they were all dead, part of the reason I left the tennis before 8), and draft my script in Spanish to try to explain myself to Ferrer. So I didn't even actually physically get into bed until after 12.45 and I know it took some minutes before I fell asleep and I woke up this morning at 6.14 because my cat was jumping on me and had to use the bathroom.

I've seen plenty of him, and I remain unconvinced. Far too inconsistent, the fact he pasted Rafa and then was truly woeful a day later only adds to my view that he's a headcase. Talented, yes. Capable of beating Nadal on a regular basis, no.

I will even make this easy for you. Federer is a better overall player than Nadal, but what does their respective H2H say?

Who says Federer is a better overall player than Nadal? :p

Ok seriously....Yes, Berdych has got the game to beat Nadal because he hits with such power that he can break through Rafa's defences. However, the fact remains that to beat him he has to play extremely well, the moment he starts making errors he's cooked. It's highly unlikely the next time they play that Berdych will play as well as he did, and also Rafa will play as badly as he did.

It's a similar match up to Safin - he has the game to beat Nadal without a doubt, the problem is sustaining the quality for a length of time.

I won't take the first comment seriously.

Did you see their match in Båstad? Berdych should have won that as well, but had one of his Berdbrain moments and got punished for it. Nadal got thumped and pumped, it happens.

For one Berdych doesn't fear him, that is already in his favour, next point the heavy forehand from Rafa doesn't bother him as much as it does most of the other players. It's not even a question of how Rafa plays, was he allowed to play well? The answer was no, so don't give me this crap about Nadal not playing well, when he wasn't allowed to cause of the opponents play.

Safin and Nadal haven't played, so you can't say for sure that it would be the same way.

Works both ways, Nadal should've won their match in Cincy

Berdych is prone to brain farts, that's why a player like Nadal will have the edge over him. I'll be surprised if Berdych is ahead in the h2h over a longer period of time, maybe he'll prove me wrong again though :)

Berdych will always be difficult for Nadal to play and if you can't deal with that, then go buy a season ticket to Arsenal.

Come to think of it, that was Coria's best weasel trick was to get Carla to marry him.

I think the reason is you are going against the movement of the earth. It's the same for me when I flew back to Hong Kong from Vancouver. It's a lot worse as it's 14-16 hours flight. :pMaybe. it's only about an hour longer as the other direction but gosh, I was just in bad shape last night  Maybe it has something to do with the fact that when I fly home my parents pick me up but last night I had to drive myself 45 minutes. I dunno, but I feel better this morning after sleeping :D

NICE TO MEET YOU!" and like shook my hand, lol and was like genuinely interested and we were making eye contact and stuff and so I was like "Hey, can we take a picture later?" No they were saying nasty things about his fans and people who support him (who falls into that category?)

Okay it's time for me to post my "I hate casual tennis fans" stories of the day:

Story 1:
Woman: Hey do you know who that is?
Tournament Worker: Either Gasquet or Mathieu. I don't know the difference.

(note to worker... Gasquet is still in Toronto. It might be of interest to you to actually know who is in Cincinnati when people ask you such things.)

Story 2:
So when Novak is practicing, I'm taking pictures of him for about 15 minutes and listening to everyone wonder who he is and I just cannot take it anymore when they settle on the fact that he is no one but Baghdatis's hitting partner. So I go "You want to know who he is... he's Novak Djokovic. He IS a top 30 player." And this guy makes me like.. spell out Novak's name for him and then is like "OH! IS HE RUSSIAN?!" and I'm like "Erm no. SCG is not the abbreviation for Russia. He's Serbian." Now a crowd of 20 people is gathering around me. "Who is that guy?" "Is he really a player?" YES. And I inform them all that he was just in the French Open quarterfinal this year, the Wimbledon round of 16 and just won a tournament a few weeks ago. :fiery: Then this dude makes me find Novak's name in the draw for him so that he can check him off and they all make me repeat his name about 20 times so they can try to remember it before one kid goes "THAT DJORKMAN USES MY RACQUET" Note: This is not Djork Man but rather him combining and confusing Bjorkman with Djokovic.

Story 3:
Now I am sitting at Zimonjic v Moodie. Just moments after they did the player introductions and introduced Nenad as a guy who plays primarily doubles and they talk about all his doubles titles and his success with Santoro this year and blah blah blah I hear this senile old man go. "Oh, this Zimonjic must be just coming back from an injury to have a ranking this low. I guess that's why they gave him a wildcard." YOU JUST LISTENED TO HIS BIO AND THEY TOLD YOU WHAT HE DOES WITH HIS LIFE! :fiery:
