Ljubicic, Cilic, Gulbis, Juzni, Baghdatis, Karlovic, Dodig... great list. :)
And Haase, Rosol, Petzschner, Devvarman (maybe not at indoors tournament) can play great tennis.
I like that big stars like Baghdatis, Gulbis, Juzni so like to play in Zagreb.

Thay really should to give WC to Berrer. God, he deserved that!
One (Q)WC should go to Mate Pavic.

PS One WC will go to Veic. All previous champions will play on tre tournament!

I also was suprised that the list is that good, better than the previous two years I think. I rather thought this year will be very bad as there is another tournament in Europe that week now (Montpellier, prior it was Johannesburg) but Montpellier have an even better list. I'm really suprised so many want to play a tournament right after AO and right before Davis Cup.

Oh yeah and I think as well that Berrer deserves a WC here as a two time runner-up.

Yes they made mistake.

It's hard to make strong tournament on that given date, plus there is DC rubber now.

The Croats that are taking part of this tournament and a few names like Petzschner and Baghdatis are the ones that helped this list to look pretty descent.

I don't think de Croatian DC players should be happy if they reach the final considering the DC tie being in Japan next Friday.

But the list looks nice because of the Croats and Baghdatis, Youzhny, Haase, Petzschner and Garcia-Lopez!

Don't forget Gulbis, Stakhovsky (one or two times finalist) and even Devvarman.

Mečzer and Davydenko asked for WC. That would be first time that Russian is in Zagreb while Melzer is regular guesst.

Will Cilic really play there ? Will he be ready ?

Month ago he said he will skip Chennai and AO and Zagreb will be his first tournament in the new season. There is no any word in croatian newspaper he won't play. It would be for sure because it's just 6 days to start of tournament.
There is one REALLY good thing: he said that he solved all his problems with knees for life-time. He had problem with inflammation of both knees. He (just; which actually isn't just) got injections in knees, didn't do any training for one month and that's it. He said he always had inflammation (what was obvious because he didn't go enough low in the knees). That will help for his career alot.
And he got 5 kilos more (from 82 to 87).

I have tests at that time, but I'll most probably go at least for 1 day

actually it isn't . through the week there is barely few people . more for the weekend but still not a good atmosphere . first two editions were great, since then it's question of time when will Zagreb lose ATP tournament again . We need a global star fast to relive the tennis but this won't happen soon

Ditto. The atmosphere is dead during the first few days. It's only actually good in the SFs and F, and that's if a Croat is playing.

Last 2 WCs to Kristijan Mesaroš and Dino Marčan.

So Cilic, Tursunov OUT - Van Der Merwe, Zemlja IN.

Any chance that Van Der Merwe or Zemlja playing Montpellier instead of Zagreb ? One of them would be IN in Montpellier.

Because if they are playing here, Klizan is 1st alternate, so I need one more withdrawal ...

Yeah, and that´s a pity for Klizan, if one of them would play Montpellier, he is IN in Zagreb.

Moreover, if he would been in Montpellier alternates list, he is already IN there.

Now I have to wait for someone else withdrawing from Zagreb, funny :)

Ouch, now I understand you. Let's hope a good qualy draw for him if there won't be another withdrawal.

That´s exactly what I am waiting for. Klizan will be seeded (2,3,4) in Q, so he won´t meet Melzer (1). At least he could get some easy players to earn 12 points but ...

I was hoping (and I´m still) for 3 Slovak players in main draw of a ATP tournament, what hasn´t happened for years :)

Fed should play Zagreb . This draw is one of few where he could snatch the title this year

Very, very poor. Cilic and Gulbis out, Melzer is in qualies. There are only Youzhny, Baghdatis, Karlovic, Ljubicic and Dodig. And it's doubtful how good croatian trio will play.

Cilic is really dumb guy  He took a break in the only part of the season when he was useful in past year, he should have skipped entire clay court season or IW and Miami with half of clay court season instead of this ,always knew pressure situation wasn't his forte

So he missed tennis :)

If someone withdraws.. yes, he would get it. Usually the best seeded player gets it who loses in final qualy round.

But he won't lose the match ;)
