Hi all,
Rafa plays Davide Sanguinetti in the first round of the Madrid Masters...he would meet Spadea in the second round.
He's playing doubles with Robredo and they play Schüttler/Hrbaty in the first round.

He´s playing today at four right? I hope they´ll show it on Czech Galaxy TV - there´s a almost all day broadcast. :) Pity they didn´t play with Robredo yesterday....I don´t like when they postpone the matches. :(

they're playing doubles today...but quite late. Rafa's playing his singles right now and he's leading 6-2 3-0 against Sanguinetti!

I think Rafa will advance far in this tournament. His first real challenge I think will be agassi. If he gets past him, i think he can make all the way to the semifinals. I think Rafa will have a good result in doubles too.

That is really strange: on the Masters website it is written down that Hrbaty/Schuettler retired, but on the ATP-Site and on Yahoo.es that Rafi retired because of his shoulder( but seems like nothing serious, just preventive)

on Madrid site it was wrong, raffie/ robredo retired due to raffie's shoulder...but he's still playing in the singles tmrw, i'm not shure what will happen tho  i hope he's fine....:D

unfortunately Rafa lost to Spadea 4-6 6-4 3-6...I guess his shoulder is ok as he was able to play 3 sets. It's a shame for him to be out already, but let's hope he does well in his next tournament. Anyone know whether he's playing anything before Paris?

Oh sucha bad luck for Rafael....I thought it´d be an easy win over Spadea but Spadea played really well yesterday. :( Weeeeell...what can we do....I guess this tournament isn´t too good for Spaniards. If I´m right there are only two left and unfortunately they will play against each other so there will be only one left.

I am kind of disappointed at Rafa. I thought he showed lack of sportsmanship in taking a medical time out when he was down break point.

is that right? I didn't know that...sounds a bit like Robredo at the Godó. Rafa was actually injured though, wasn't he?

I didn't see it, but I heard he had really bad cramps in his upper right leg and could barely walk... So in that case I think we should give him a break...

Nah, he wasn't that injured. I feel like the immaturity got the best of him this time. I don't blame him though, I mean, after all he is only 18!!

Really? I only heard he took time out not only once!!!But if the player really has cramp at the decisive time, what should he do?Just suck it up?

I saw the match. He took time out for medical care twice and I don´t think he pretended his injury. It´s just soooo easy to say somebody pretends something no?

Yup,Now I only think the time maybe is not that right but I don't think Nadal pretended his injury. Also as the same case Horna played against Ferrero and he took time-out during his game,I saw he sprained his ankle and he really can't move.

So,I suggest the coach calls time-out like volleyball matches.
