It's not really problem of counting that Nadal had a crapy second half of the year.
(maybe that's why he wants a two year ranking system)

Does it really need to be asked why he wants a two year ranking system?

I am sorry I am not Nadal so I cannot sort his shit quickly. I am sure you can help him sort it out by sending him some shit.

Really hope Lopez qualifies, I'd much rather see him playing in London on grass than Almagro, no offense.

To be eligible for the Olympics, one must play in Davis Cup, right? So, Dolgopolov would likely be ineligible?

I thought it was that you have to 'make yourself available' for Davis Cup; I'm not sure that you have to play. If a team captain uses the same two singles players all the time (and one doubles team), it means only those two singles players can represent that country -- even though they are allowed four? And the other two players might have wanted to play, but the DC captain didn't want them

Thanks, that does make more sense.

That being said Dolgopolov still hasn't made himself available to play on the Ukrainian Davis Cup team so he may not compete

Really, don't be ridiculous. Those aren't somebody's "dream team", they are the players with the most points in the period used in calculations for the Olympics - and it doesn't include this year's clay swing. Quite probably by the end of the next clay swing Nadal will be much higher, but you can't argue against actual results this far.

Youzhny's coach Sobkin said Mikhail won't play Olympics. He said Misha is too old for this shit.

I think you should make yourself available for your country and represent it in Davis Cup twice in four years (2009-2012) to qualify...
so Dolgopolov, Bogomolov Jr., Young, Berlocq and several others do not satisfy this criteria.
