When Will Fed Retire

I'm curious when you guys think Fed will offically retire from singles ?

I was waiting for this the guy just wins the WTF and the question of when he will retire comes up :lol:

2013 or 2014, depending on his results next year.

Unofficially, he has already retired. ATP will keep it a secret for a couple of more years.

He could retire from the top 10 at 35 imo, but i don't think he will play that long. If i would bet, i would bet on the end of the 2014 season, and he will retire as a top 10 player in the world.

I am a tempted to say after Rio 2016. That's what I hope at least.

Right now it's starting to feel like he enjoys playing a lot more again, compared to earlier this year. Three months ago I would've said he'd be done after next year with the olympics and all, but now I'm not so sure. There's a lot of incredible records he could make if he's hungry enough.

A few years ago I thought he'd be done at the end of the 2012 season; he would just stick around long enough to have another shot at the Olympics. And while he HAS declined, for some reason I expect him to stay around longer than that now, maybe retiring after the 2013 or 2014 season.

I thought the same after 2012. But now im not to sure I think his back will have a large say thou. I by the times his kids start school he will prob hang up the racket.

He will retire when Nadull wins his 10th Monte Caro joke of a tournament..

A couple years after Djokovic and Murray. Four years after Nadal. A year before Ferrer.

Maybe in 2-3 years time. It will be a sad day when he does officially retire :sad:, I enjoy watching him play. :)

I don't think he'll like it being out of top 4, and that's when I predict he will fall out of top 4, so that's when he'll retire.

I honestly think retirement is the last thing on his mind. A couple of days ago on Facebook he was still talking about "many years to play for his fans". Paul Annacone said in an interview that he still totally loves this way of life, unlike Pete who had enough of it.
I think Roger will play as long as he is winning important matches and tournaments and he will do everything to make that happen.

Fed can probably still routine mugs in his 60's

I think a lot depends on results. If he wins both Davis Cup and Olympics next year then it probably will be sooner.

Dont think he will retire as long as he is in the top 10 to be honest and he will probably stay there for another 5 years.

Aye who knows.. Can't see Fed sticking around when he knows he isn't a threat at the slams anymore with the size of his ego. But the field is so damn muggy outside the top 4, Im sure Fed will be a threat for a while until he hangs it up

I'm sure Federer said that he wanted to keep playing so his twin daughters could see and remember him playing at a high level live. So I can see him going on until 2016... Possibly post Nadal (anything to get that gold medal at the 2016 Olympics when Rafa isn't around!).

He said in his interview today he wants to come back for several more Aus Opens.
Whether or not you believe him is another matter.

He'll retire when he isn't seeded anymore.
