Can Andreas Haider-Maurer and Mikhail Kukushkin repeat their success from 2010?

So, last season Haider-Maurer and Kukushkin, two long-term challenger players, pulled off great runs in home country events. Haider-Maurer in Vienna, Kukushkin in St. Petersburg. Unfortunately for both, although these runs helped propel them into the top 100, neither have done well enough this season on the tour to remain top 100 without defending their points. An early round loss will result in both tumbling out of the top 100.

So, with that being said, do you all believe these two men can recapture the magic and make it deep in their respective events next week? Here is the draw for both:

Andreas Haider Maurer (Vienna): R1 v Anderson, R2 v Sweeting/Baghdatis, seeded player in QF Melzer.

Mikhail Kukushkin (St. Petersburg): R1 v Berrer, R2 v Tipsarevic/Rochus, seeded player in QF Tursunov.
