Well it looks so much more like he and Donald have switched places as the "young but too old to be an up and comer" hope in american tennis. This time last year was about whether Querrey can go up a level next year after very encouraging results. The answer is sadly no and that injury of his hurt big time.

An American has to win a slam before Roddick retires, otherwise there'll be a generational void. Fish is as old as Roddick so he doesn't count. It'll be up to Isner and Young to secure the future in American tennis the way Roddick did in 2003 before Andre retired.

Querrey doesn't even like tennis, ffs. Never respected players who were in it just for the money. If he continues to disrepspect the game, which gave him everything, he'll continue to slump.
