I took the ATP stats for 431 players from ATP Matchfacts site:
http://www.atpworldtour.com/Matchfacts/Matchfacts-List.aspx?c=0&s=0&y=0

full details here:
http://simtheworld.blogspot.com/2011/10/ivanisevic-has-won-most-points-of-any.html

Note: being a good server/good returner/good player doesn't influence the rankings at all!
It is just about overachieving on break points.

I'm guessing he also fluked his way to 3 other finals. Either he's one lucky bastard or you're a clown, it's hard to tell.

On topic, I'm suprised the stats put him on top in this category. He could be pretty clutch, but he could alos just go nuts from time to time ;)

Good player. But Im more impressed with a clutch rally player than someone who can just snap their wrist and hit a great serve. That is impessive but takes less mental strength

being a serve bot does not make you clutch

It's amazing that some people respond without reading the details.

Serving doesnt count for anything, only ground strokes are legit. Players should serve with a forhand as to stop any unreturned serves whatsoeveer and further slow the game down.

Very strange list. Guess there's more to mental toughness than bps. Ivanisevic being a choking clown in finals has already been mentioned, Soderling is the same, and Troicki and Mugdasco being anywhere near the top of a "clutchness" list is nuts :o Also, Ferrero and Lee being 2nd and 3rd from the bottom is weird as well, Ferrero is a fighter as was Lee (at least in Davis Cup).

Kind of funny Oli Rochus is near the top and Christophe Rochus is near the bottom

No. No No...

Goran was NOT clutch. If not for Pete he would have had an all time great career on grass however. When on he really could beat anyone truth be told. But he was a mental mug really.

He was a mental midget actually. Having a serve and nothing else does not make you clutch as you're bound to hit some lucky serves on BP's now and then.

Goran had no ground game - he was a serve-bot playing in an era of fast surface. Wouldn't be top 20 player today.

Ivanisevic? You mean that fluke Wimbledon winner? How can you be clutch if you only have a serve and nothing else? Seriously, the guy was the definition of "Servebot". You can't be clutch when you can only play one part of the game.

Bunch of little kids trying to be funny or even smart? How many matche of Goran have you seen? How old were you in 2001? 10 months old maybe?

Go catch some proper tennis on youtube and whatch how he broke serve on grass numerous times with sick returns. The crisp volleys (something Murray can only dream of), the jumping double-handed bh; not to mention the lefty fh; you make it sound as if he was Karlovic, the guy won bronze medals in the 92' Olympics on clay in Barcelona in sigles and doubles; of course he is just a serve bot; go put on some dull Murray matches and drool over them; Murray may end up winning a couple of slams but he will never have the charisma of fanbase Goran had...

I added columns for service and return points.
As you can see, most players are doing worse than expected when serving and better when returning.
