Sad for Thomas, but he needs to get his shoulder together. Probably shouldn't have played on with a bad shoulder in the summer and it's costing him now.

The list is great. GL to all my favorites and hopefully Bachinger and Klizan lose R1!

Predictably, all the guys I wanted to go deep here are on one half of the draw. Predictable.

Darcis v Andreev R1, just the type of luck Igor has had all season long. Hopefully he pulls out the win.

Also, two other of my favorites in Zeballos v Hajek R1. Rooting for Jan to take that and make the SF.

Hopefully Rycka makes the finals from the top half, Bachinger and Robert lose early, and Bjorn wins matches.

Good win for Mischa Z., who is starting to become a relevant player again. Still not where he was, but improving. Robert has been pretty bad for a while and is better on clay but any win is a needed for Zverev.

Bachinger got the easiest draw possible, like always. Hopefully he flames out to someone before things get dire.

olivetti will be better than raonic, isner and ivo. never saw so good serving guy. i think he can beat berankis because the lithua guy will be frustated because of the serve. and his game without serve is not that bad. he is good at net and hit some good forehand shots.ok backhand need to improve but he is 19years. i followed this guy always on livescore when he was playing qualis for challengers. always saw his impressiv stats but he never qualified before if i am right. and i watched yesterday the stream and cant wait for tomorrow against berankis.

Chiudinelli has found some form at the end of this season. I can see him doing real damage in 2012. Expected he would win but with the serve Bubka has, he shouldn't be destroyed like this.

Also good to see Mischa Z. making a QF.

And you think Karlovic is a good player? Karlovic has his serve which gives him huge advantage, serve is basically the most important aspect of a players game, especially if you are tall like Karlovic, with that kind of serve you get a whole bunch of easy points that negate many of his shortcomings. In this instance we could say similar thing about Olivetti. Olivetti's serve is tremendous, and when you think that he is only 19 years old, we can conclude that he still has a lot to learn, and if he is dedicated enough to train hard he could become a very good player.

I remember Raonic few years ago, I always saw him losing to all kinds of players, people were saying that he won't be good enough, but look at him now, if he stays healthy, next year he could be a top 10 player without any doubt.

Karlovic showed more ability when he first started out than Olivetti has. Olivetti is young, but right now, he isn't a good player overall and his results at the challenger level show this. Karlovic was approaching top 200 after being professional 2 years. As for game, Karlovic is at least 2 times the player Olivetti is, including serve. I will say that he has a long time to potentially develop and big guys tend to develop slower, so we'll see in the future. But to compare him to ATP players, when he can't even win in challengers, is overreaching.

The challengers this week are definitely more interesting than Paris. More entertaining matches, more competitive, better tennis. Rycka beat Goffin a few weeks ago in an event I think in Turkey or something. Berankis should beat him again and hopefully he does, as he has a great path to the finals and even winning the event.

Bjorn should have beaten Bohli. So disgusted, that would be the perfect match-up for him if he were in decent form.

Goffin is definitely unstable, double faults too much, misses too much for a guy who isn't that big. Berankis is simply the better player. Whether Rycka gets to the finals here I think depends on if Zverev beats Chiudinelli or not. Marco C. can beat Berankis but Rycka should beat Zverev.

Chiundelli idiot like lots other players break for *6-5 play at home an lose servis 0-40, than break for *1-0 than serving for 5-5 and lose that point 4-6 normally stop playing , then leads 3-1 in second if he take that servis gem he will take set but like in first lose servis after break , cant believe that at home for semi final you cant play better against Zverev who do nothing all year

Pathetic result for Steven.

This is Rycka's tournament to lose. Gotta take it from here.

Great first set from Berankis, keeping the UE's low and the aggresive play high. 6-1.

Berankis 61 67 56*

can't believe Rycka is about to lose to the pure garbage of Zverev. Fight Rycka!

Unacceptable result and a horrible one for the sport. Hopefully Jaziri handles business tomorrow and saves this tournament from misery.

Berankis won 13 points more, but still managed to lose. 4th Semifinal, same outcome. With this kind of mentality he's going nowhere.

Stupid loss for Berankis. He should have won this in the second set, instead he started making lots and lots of errors, and Zverev was smart enaugh to come back and win.

my friend said he bet on zverev at 50/1 when berankis was 6-1 4-2

he won 30 thousand euro

Well, Berankis is a well known choker and guys know that when he goes off the boil all they have to do is keep the ball in court...so well done to Zverev and good luck to him in the final

Very unfortunate and inexplicable loss for Berankis, but I'm happy Mischa Z. won here, he's starting to fight more and turn things around. Hopefully he wins the title.

This is a great victory for Mischa. As we spoke about him in the past in this forum the guy is potentially a top 40 but his mind and injuries are not on his side.
Another surprising and welcomed victory for Malek. Quite suprising to find him in the final here.

inexplicable? no, not at all

unfortunate? yes because in just 2 weeks he'll be taking a tumble down the rankings with tghe points loss from helsinki

unless he wins the event next week and defends his title in helsinki his hopes of finishing year end top 100 are gone..and he's got some serious points to defend at the beginning of next year

This is great for him if he is going to receive a WC for the main draw of that event :yeah:. Doha`s draw is not so easy generally speaking but the experience of playing there is going to be great for him
