Hope Feli Lopez makes at least the semifinals, I want to see him in the top 20, his career high is number 20 but that was more than 5 years ago. Now at age 30 he is playing better than he ever has before.

Both of these clowns enjoy bending over for Nadull but Berdshit is the only one who achieves solely for that purpose. Not surprising he didn't bother showing up to play. Would be nice if Lopez could peak in his later years and actually become a player instead of another of Nadull's spanish followers, I like his game.

Oh well. At least losing now would be better than somehow losing to Mayer or Ferrer or someone.

Likely Nadal and Ferrer are a lock at this point, and probably Almagro, so Feli will be fighting with Verdasco and Granollers for that fourth spot, since I think Spain can fill all four allotted spots because the have enough players in the cutoff. I really hope he gets it :cheerleader:

yep... see... this is exactly what berdych does to you... just when you are on edge of sayin: 'here we go goes, berdych is on the tear again' he just lets you down... he just fools you into believing top 5 form is just around the corner, and boom... almost unbackable this guy...

He got a new coach--Alberto Berasategui, I think--and has started to get more serious about his game. He is past his prime but considering we are constantly seeing the resurgence of all these 28+ players, he is doing quite well for himself.

Nadal should be watching Lopez serve and take notes. That's how the out-wide lefty serve should look like, not the clownish WTA serves he's currently using :o

I don't think Tomas was that bad from what I saw, it's just that Feli was on his A-game. In-form Feli is kind of underestimated around here.
