Great job Ryan! Raced to a 4-0 lead in the second, Troicki came back to 4-2, Ryan broke again for 5-2, got broken for 5-3, broke again to win.

Plays Ebden in R2, they won Newport doubles together earlier this year. Excellent opportunity for both.

Awesome for Ryan. Now, let the abuse of Troicki commence.

Great for Ryan

We couldn't see the match but for sure it was terrible.. this mug is probably the worst player ever

Lol, I don't bother with this declining mug anymore, let him be I say.
Should be an interesting one against Ebden.

i hate to say it, but Troicki and Tipsarevic don't belong in the top 15 or 20 with this kind of inconsistency. The rankings will catch up with them sooner or later...

This is the 11th seed :haha: Even so, good for the game when Harrison wins an easy match against a mug :yeah:

Gasquet, Dolgopolov, Melzer and Wawrinka are also in the top 20 and I'd hardly call them consistent.

Troicki has talent and deserves to be top 20. He's just going through a bad patch, especially against the youngsters.

This should be Gaba. Gaba should have taken Ryan out. This result makes me bitter and angry.

:stupid: Guy looks like he's playing badminton when he serves and has no form or follow through on his shots. In fact it looks like he's playing with a frying pan and he doesn't even have mental toughness :o When they talk about the Serbian players learning to play tennis in an empty swimming pool, I can see it with Troicki because he sure isn't playing tennis :p I wonder how he ever wins and anyone should be ashamed to lose to him no matter their ranking. The fact that he's the 11th seed is all the proof anyone should ever need of the mug era we are currently not enjoying :wavey:

Troicki has really fallen off, basically immediately after the devastating choke to Monfils at Montreal. His before/after performances/results speak for themselves.

he's falling back down to his normal level. Lets be honest the fact that he was almost top 10 is frightening

That's true, Misty. I like Viktor, but he's not a top 10 player whatsoever and that would have been pretty awful to see him there. I think he's probably a guy who should be ranked around 25-30, but the thing that has kept his ranking top 15/20 is the fact he beat everyone he should and was generally consistent. That's beginning to change now.

Losing to Harrison in straights speaks for itself.
Troicki is a disgrace for the Top 20.

Troicki had to be terrible to lose this in 2 easy sets like this. Oftentimes it feels like you could put a walrus on the other side of the court and Harrison would take the match to 3.

Harrison has huge potential, not really surprising BUT what is really sad is the number of breaks of serve in this match... not something positive to see in professional tennis.....
