Poor match from both of them. They lift up the level a bit in the second half of the last set, but still you could count the good points on one hand.

Gulbis had the first set in his pocket, but overall he was not good, and doesn't look at all like the player he did during the summer. Bad shot selection, bad double faulting, bad forehand errors and poor volleying and movement. Hit some good winners but no consistency.

David was adequate, played decent in the second set, but overall didn't need to do a whole lot to win.

When Nalbandian is on, he can drive even the best player crazy. Then again, a soft breeze is enough to set Gulbis off.
