Berdman into a final, it's been a while. First 2 sets were close, but last set Berdych raised his game.

30 all point in the last game was class.

Tsonga wasn't great but he wasn't allowed to be, such a bad match up for him! Berdych was goddamn awesome bar the game he got broken in the second set though. First final in 15 months! Entertaining stuff! Come on! :worship: :bounce:

Berdych should have won in straight sets. He was clearly better in all sets- even that 2nd was close he always was more dominant on his service games and had BP chances, but that at 4 all he choked and lost that set even that he had chances for rebreak.

berdych :woohoo:

If Clownga hadn't gifted that break to 3-1 for Tomas it would have been interesting to see the rest.

Bird deserved to win though and not to choke again.. He played very good and after the break in the 3rd he played without nerves again.

It was a quality encounter. Nice to watch.

Czech Sex God unstoppable in Beijing. A small lapse in the second, but he thoroughly outplayed Tsonga. Cilic stands no chance in the final.

Berdych was pretty dominant in most rallies, playing quite smart in fact. Wasn't as entertaining as I'd hoped but impressed with Berdych's performance, Jo didn't have the answers today and probably should have lost in straights..

Yes I agree it should have been a straight sets win for Tomas, but he really choked 4 all in the second set. Still Tomas' best perfomance in a while so kudos.

All the best, Jo in Shanghai! :yeah:

30th ATP tournament since last final :D

But, he is playing great whole week and he will take first title after 2 centuries

Berdy has been seriously impressive once he got over the pressure of defending 134512345 points at Wimbledon and Roland Garros.

I think Berdych will finally win a title since Munchen 2009 if i'm not wrong

You're not wrong.

I hope this is the beginning of something, if he plays like this he'll be a handful on any surface. Best thing is he actually looks like he's enjoying tennis too, this year he seemed dead emotionally on court in quite a few matches.

10-08-2011, 11:21 PM
Yep he played some great tennis here

And if he wins the title maybe it will give him some confidence for the future tournaments

10-08-2011, 11:49 PM
^^I misread that as futures tournaments

Funny to think that this was the first time these two 1985 born men had played each other on the main circuit.

Nice win for Berdy, hope he wins the title now!
