I don`t understand why the surface chosen is clay . This whole Asian tour is on hard court, even the week before (Beijing) and the week after too (Karshi). That is one of the main reasons why nobody is playing there. E

Eventually if the surface chosen would had been hard some players would had picked to play a small tour with Samarkand, Karshi and Astana. But not with a clay court event in between.

Yes, expected results. Hopefully the Tunisian wins it. Istomin clinching a Challenger title on clay would be kind of funny.
Yeah but on the other hand Istomin has 2 clay finals and quite a few semifinals (incl. in Samarkand) while for Jaziri it's the first challenger final ever

Uzbekistan is amazing, I stil plan to live there.
Off course for the ones who doesnt understand why clay, uzbekistan has 4 chalengers and they dont want to put only hardcourt events and becme a one trick pony tennis nation.

What a shit for Malek :( Nvm the loss, but the retirement part. I hope it's nothing that serious... I know his ambition is to play in US Open main draw... which is soon.

Too bad for Jaziri, and lucky for Istomin. Istomin can't be in good form with some of the scorelines but it is smart to come to his country and play these two challengers, as his ranking is about to go to shit. I don't particularly care for him so I'm not too pleased with this result and Jaziri seems like one of those underdog types everyone loves.
