Dudi won the Vancouver challenger this time last year, so he needs to duplicate that result at this weak challenger, and there isn't any real reason he shouldn't, although there are a couple of guys who I can see beating Dudi, if he continues playing like shit.

:yeah: Farrukh
:yeah: Ti
:help: Josselin. He is way too good to be losing early in these events.

Amir out R1, not good for his trying to establish himself in the top 200. But he lost to a local so not surprising.

Dudi seemed to actually give a good performance finally, and Soeda is such a joke. Has he ever done well in an event not in Asia that wasn't totally weak? He got exposed as overranked earlier this year when he stepped up to a better level of events and failed. Hopefully someone takes him out.

Nathaliia
08-02-2011, 06:46 PM
At least he's making what he can with the ability he has  Many players don't. He had some result at American challengers from what I recall. They usually aren't that weak.

Filo V.
08-02-2011, 09:30 PM
He's lost R1 or R2 in every non-Asian event he's entered this year.

Filo V.
08-02-2011, 09:37 PM
He won Tiburon in California in 2009, beating Giraldo and Bozo in the final.

Santi on carpet is not really a big win but Bozo is. That's definitely the best event for him.

It is what it is, I'm not going to hate on him. I can't support him but he is making the most of little and really, taking advantage of the schedule.

Soeda tired
Udomchoke crap
Cervantes in shape
Lim dangerous in asian challengers

Capkovic did well also against Klaasen, but Soeda surprised even more in struggling a third set with an almost done Kevin Kim

The brother doing well, always good to see. Hopefully this is the week they get back on track.

Great fightback from Dudi! Hopefully he closes this match out now.

Dudi got the double break! Now he just has to hold on and cross the finishing line.

Sela def. Cervantes-Huegun 3-6 7-6(6) 6-2

Great comeback from Dudi, saved a match-point in the tiebreaker. So happy for him, much needed result. This is the type of spark he needs to get his ass into gear.

we need some Rochus-like player fighting with the robot giants of the tour!

One of Farrukh's best wins in his whole career, well done :yeah:

Filo V.
08-06-2011, 09:01 PM
Dudi is in no form whatsoever, so making the SF and defending most of his points from this week is good enough. I'm guessing he'll play better at the ATP level at the USO, on a big stage, since he seems to not be motivated enough to bring his top level in these challengers now that he's top 100 again.

Such a waste of talent he's becoming.

Great week for Farrukh. A player that seemed to be some years ago that was going to make the jump but vanished on the Future events.
Congrats for Yang for this final and I hope that he can win the title here. A victory tomorrow may help him to jump to the top 200 and turn in a stable player on the challenger tour. At 20 years old he still has a chance. Good luck.

I'm quite surprised Yang took out Lim.
