Brian Baker has been cruising in the US event. In 2005 he knocked out Gaudio in R1 of the US Open. He's only played in 4 tournaments since then, and not once since late 2007. He's had a ton of injuries/surgeries, so it's nice to see him back playing again, even if his career potential is probably exhausted. He plays Roland Garros junior champ Bjorn Frantangelo in the finals today.

As good of a match as you'll get on the futures level considering the story lines involved.
You have Bjorn, current Roland Garros junior champ, playing in his home event against Baker, who lost in a very tight three sets to Wawrinka in the 2003 junior final, but as you said could never fulfill his promise due to severe injuries. It's especially a shame, though, because I consider Baker at least a top-50 talent.

Thanks for the update. Hopefully this won't be a one-off event and he'll start playing regularly. Then we'll have a better idea whether or not he can have a solid comeback.

Still no results. Was the rest of the tournament cancelled?

Yes, after the second round. ITF updated late Monday.
