Gulbis  If I remember well he hates this clima.

06-08-2011, 12:02 PM
I bought tickets for all events last week not knowing who're coming. I'm just soooo happy to see many of my favorites at least entered.
Now I just hope they all actually come.:worship:

06-08-2011, 12:27 PM
So many of my favorites here.

Filo V.
06-08-2011, 02:11 PM
Predictable list. I like it, a lot of my favorites are there also.

06-08-2011, 02:15 PM
Gulbis  If I remember well he hates this clima.

He normally plays the US hard court season. Hopefully he can play well here! :)

06-08-2011, 02:29 PM
Only 3 of my favourites play here, it is wrong for me, usually much more. (about 10-15 at Hamburg) :p And lot of player who I don't like.

He normally plays the US hard court season. Hopefully he can play well here! :)

Hopefully.

06-08-2011, 08:54 PM
Grigor can reach the QFs, if he plays well :D

Good luck to Querrey, Raonic, Gulbis, Berankis and Harrison :wavey:

06-09-2011, 11:43 AM
Its encouraging Ernests is gonna give this tournament a go rather than his usual long break after grass court season! I hope it pays off for him.

06-09-2011, 12:18 PM
Next year if the entry list looks this good I may go there instead of Cincy. Why roast in hell 700 miles from home when I can do it in 300 and no womens tennis to have to deal with. I hope Ernie brings plenty of sunblock.

06-14-2011, 01:18 PM
Muller

06-22-2011, 03:55 PM
To the people who live in USA any words on the WC's apart from James Blake?

06-23-2011, 11:31 AM
qualifying wild cards to Wil Spencer and Guillermo Gomez:

06-23-2011, 11:39 AM
DY will almost definitely get one since this is his home event, and then the other one we'll just have to see. Hopefully Harrison gets it.

06-23-2011, 02:54 PM
100 % WC for Harrison I'd say.

06-23-2011, 04:38 PM
Heard whispers Tomic might get one?

06-23-2011, 06:54 PM
DY will almost definitely get one since this is his home event, and then the other one we'll just have to see. Hopefully Harrison gets it.

Ryan doesn't like wildcards. He prefers the harder way. I think he will go through qualifying.

06-26-2011, 06:24 PM
Good to see that Hewitt got in here before his ranking went to Hell. Hopefully he can do well soon and avoid having to accept WCs just to get into tournaments (not that he wouldn't get them).

06-29-2011, 08:26 PM
I hope Bernie Tomic enters quallies for some of these 250 events he could clean up with at least 1 title

07-05-2011, 08:56 PM
Is it likely Haas gets a WC here?

Ad Wim
07-05-2011, 09:45 PM
WC for Ginepri?

07-08-2011, 05:58 PM
Berankis gets IN then...IF he decides to play that is

07-09-2011, 11:53 AM
Who gets the third WC?

07-09-2011, 04:42 PM
Is it likely Haas gets a WC here?

Yes he received one.

07-09-2011, 10:00 PM
Raonic is definitely out of here

07-11-2011, 11:41 PM
WC for Ginepri?
He sorta deserves it ... He won this tournament twice before it moved to Atlanta, and he's from the Atlanta area! Also, his ranking is only as low as it is now because of the elbow injury he had in September of 2010, and the fact that he only just now started playing matches this year after recovering. He was even the player who was followed by the ATP cameras with a mic in his hand to introduce the Atlanta tournament last year. If they don't give Robby Ginepri the last WC, then it would almost be like they are intentionally kicking him down while he's just trying to get back up... :awww:

07-13-2011, 12:17 PM
poor milos, how long he will be outside of the courts?

07-13-2011, 12:20 PM
poor milos, how long he will be outside of the courts?

He won't play Montreal and Cincy, and is in doubt for the US Open

07-13-2011, 12:26 PM
Raonic is definitely out of here

it's a shame, i'm afraid he never will be the same, the hip surgery is one of the most difficult. kuerten, nalby, hewitt they still are suffering.

07-14-2011, 04:53 AM
According to several Atlanta news outlets, Ginepri receives the last wildcard.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution (

Robby Ginepri of Marietta was given a wild-card entry into the main draw of next week’s Atlanta Tennis Championships.

Ginepri, a three-time winner on tour, hasn’t played in a tour-level event since injuring his left elbow in a bicycle accident in September. He reached the second round of last year’s Atlanta event.

Two other players were added to the qualifying portion of the tournament, which will be played at the Racquet Club of the South in Norcross. Denis Kudla, age 18, and Nicolas Massu, a 14-year veteran and five-time winner on tour, will compete in qualifying, which begins Saturday.

The first round begins Monday night. Mardy Fish is the defending champion.

“I’m so thankful to be back playing tennis and for the opportunity to play in front of my hometown fans in Atlanta,” Ginepri said in a statement.

Is it possible to cancel the wc given to blake? 99% chance he enters directly as alternate

07-14-2011, 10:49 PM
Turnunov is OUT and one SE cleared.

Mahut and Blake are IN.

07-15-2011, 12:12 AM
I was hoping Tursunov would change his mind, but I guess he didn't. Oh well.
Wonder who's gonna get the WC. Please no DY and no BT.:p

07-15-2011, 12:56 PM
What happened to Tursunov? Is he injured?

07-15-2011, 01:02 PM
Any chance Tomic will get the last WC?

07-15-2011, 05:17 PM
Any chance Tomic will get the last WC?

I hope not and don't think so. If they give a WC to someone like Tomic, they cannot come up with any good excuse for not giving to DY. :p

07-15-2011, 07:25 PM
Nishikori OUT and SE cleared. Ito and Harrison IN

07-15-2011, 09:35 PM
Good to see JBlock here.

07-15-2011, 10:48 PM
DY would make the most sense for the last WC now that Harrison is in directly. Who else would they give it too?

Filo V.
07-15-2011, 10:57 PM
Probably no-one. Donald will almost definitely get it, for the Atlanta factor.

07-15-2011, 11:02 PM
Well he'll need a SF here to make US cutoff. Looks like he'll have to play qualies. Possibly give it to a player like Sock or Kudla.

Filo V.
07-15-2011, 11:03 PM
Even with these withdrawals, the list is quite good. Isner I think is the favorite for the title.

Berankis, Blake and Gulbis are the biggest question marks. Berankis hasn't played for months. Blake has been hot in challengers. Can he translate it to ATP competition?

Gulbis hasn't been very good for about a year now. Can he turn his career around on US HC?

Also Hewitt, Ginepri and Haas. Are they fit, and if so, can they produce their best tennis?

A lot of questions, and I think this will be an interesting event to follow.

US cutoff comes out on Tuesday. He already missed it, and given the situation revolving around his relationship with the USTA, and the last few months of poor form and his overall lack of solid progression and the fact his ranking has been between 100-130 for three seasons now, I doubt he'll get a WC into the USO.

He defends 20 points here so hopefully Don gets an easy draw and can win a match or two. He doesn't defend much at all after this event, so now is the perfect time to turn his season around.

07-16-2011, 02:20 AM
Nishikori OUT and SE cleared. Ito and Harrison IN

awesome but why is kei out :(

07-16-2011, 02:22 AM
Sore shoulder

07-16-2011, 04:40 AM
Looks like DY got the last WC, or someone else pulled out. The qualies draw is out and he's not in it.

07-16-2011, 08:30 AM
maybe WC Tomic.

Other Americans looking to make a statement on home soil are Atlanta native Robby Ginepri, a former top-15 player; Ryan Sweeting, who won his first career title in Houston in March; Alex Bogomolov, Jr., who is at a career-high ranking after recording wins this year over World No. 4 Andy Murray and rising Australian star Bernard Tomic; and 13-year tour veteran Michael Russell.

Hewitt =Legend
07-16-2011, 10:59 AM
maybe WC Tomic.

I think that article was describing the fact that Bogomolov had beaten Tomic this year when Bernard retired in Dallas. I'm pretty sure Bernie is still on the Gold Coast right now so I doubt he'll be there. Washington qualies will be the next one.

07-16-2011, 11:52 PM
Where is Ivo Karlovic? Wasnt he supposed to play there?
