1) ferrer vs Monfils)- 5 set thriller played out on a packed lenglen over two days. home fave pulls through in dramatic fashion
2)Isner vs Nadal) - another epic 5 setter with a contrast of styles. The big yank takes the clay god to 5 and almost pulls the surprise of the century.
3) Djokovic vs Delpo) - blockbuster between the two form players of the tourney. Novak outlast Juan in 4 high quality sets in front of a noisy Lenglen crowd.
4) Gasquet vs Bellucci) - 4 energetic sets of entertaining tennis. richie was wonderful here.
5) Fognini vs Montanes) - mugfest but whatever
6)Berdych vs Robert) - top 10 seed chokes away a 2 sets lead to a nobody.
7) tsonga vs Andreev) - fun little match here. Tsonga outplayed igor in front of a lively lenglen
8) Melzer vs Rosol) - fight
9) wawrinka vs Tsonga) - Stan comes back from the death to send Jo packing in 5. Chatrier filled. big time match
10)Nadal vs Andular)- pablo plays the match of his career. chokes badly though

If you take excitement alone then the match which involved The most interesting player in the world and The biggest fighter on the tour was the best one.

More seriously, it was Ferrer-Monfils.

Fognini - Montanes.

Otherwise, Wawrinka - Tsonga no doubt.

Fog-Mon, no doubts - a match which deserves a place in history books of the tournament.

Almost true.
Almost because it deserves a place in ANY book.

Quality of tennis wise it's the Monfils match. Drama wise it's the Fognini match.

clay god spartaning isner in round 1, he needed that kind of fight after those losses to djokovic.......

i also liked del potro - djokovic, such a shame that it had the potential to go 5 sets but french tennis frauderation killed that match.......

djokovic vs. del potro

I agree, for quality of tennis this, was the best
Then- Monfils-Ferrer
Isner-Nadal
For drama- Fog-Montanes

No it didn't.
Del Potro was already lucky to win a set.
Apart that set where Nole played crap, the rest was generally a routine win for the Djoker.

Ferrer and Monfils would have been better if had not been interrupted.

Wawrinka-Tsonga for me, I admit to not watching very much of Fognini-Montanes though.

Fog - Monty was the most entertaining one for me. Hilarity galore.

Ferrer - Monfils and Nadal - Isner was interesting too, in different ways.

Quality-wise was Monfils/Ferrer.

For entertainment and drama it had to be Fognini/Montanes.

The Fog's match was the worst I have ever seen and therefore it was the best.

The biggest tennis forum in the world. The most activity. The most well known. Where all the tennis fiends gather and discuss. Yet looking at this result i find myself more and more disgraced with this forum.

Pull yourselfs together people. Fog vs Montanes? Really? Really?

Isner - Nadal

Didn't see some of these so I can't judge.

I chose Isner-Nadal because I wanted to see Big John push the spARSEtan down into the dirt when he was done with him. Alas, it was not meant to be.

Fognini - Montanes and Ferrer - Monfils. (Sadly I didn't watched Tsonga - Wawrinka.)

Overrated as hell if you asked me.

I expected better match to be honest. Del Potro played well enoght (compared to Novak) only the second set where Djokovic's concentration sometimes totally lost. There was lot of boring moment. Okay, it was a good one but nothing outstanding.
Djokovic's matches can't be the best, he is just too good for his opponents.

A shit match doesn't magically turn into a good one because there's "drama" or controversy about the cramping rules.

Ferrer-Monfils by some distance.

Sorry.. we should be saying EVERY Fog match in the tournament huh? How disrespectful to just call one match of that once in a lifetime legend great. You're absolutely correct.

Why not? At least I enjoy the most when two evenly matched 2 clay "specialists" go at it. I saw the full 5 sets and I can say it was mostly really good quality from start to finish. I can understand this kind of reactions though if you just saw highlights of the last set. If there was no drama and the 5th set and it went to Montanes 62 I would still rate it in top 3 without a doubt.

Itīs not like Ferrer-Monfils was perfect either. I didnīt like it was interrupted, Monfils didnīt have a chance in 2nd and 4th set etc. Great 5th set though. As for Tsonga-Wawrinka, good quality lasted only for 3 sets and then for some reason Tsonga was absolutely horrible and match was basically unwatchable. I prefer even Chela-Falla over that match.

warinka vs tsonga was definitely a buffoon match but djokovic-del potro was turning into a block buster before they stopped play.......they both hit with so much intensity.......

fognini-montaneus might be a quality match but you know they just don't belong in the same league of djokovic and del potro.......so i don't think it's necessary that everybody vote for that match......

i personally voted for nadal-isner.......alien tennis balls, fast surface, big server, nadal at 10%, spartan fight.......

Fognini - Montanes I think... But I didn't see it so Tsonga - Ferrer

Ferrer-Monfils by far. The only bad parts were the stoppage and the lopsided sets that Ferrer won

Stan/Tsonga was great too, it's a pity Tsonga ran out of steam though because it was getting really good. Nadal/Isner was alright, rather tense. And Fog-Montanes :spit:
