I think Richard could have done better in the middle of second set as he was playing a bit better than the Djoker but then,it was a one way traffic.
Congrats to the future RG champion.

In this form, it is difficult to see who can stop Nole on his side of the draw - I think he should be able to navigate past Federer even they meet in the SF.

Del Potro is on a comeback trail and even more importantly he has no established pattern of not being able to keep his level up for the whole match. Gasquet does. I like the guy but he needs to toughen up a little. Needs to learn from Murray who suffered from the same physical issues a few years back. I'm happy he made it this far but he can go further.

Gasquet lost quite a few matches in the past because of his mental or/and his fitness but that was clearly not the reason he lost so convincingly today.
Actually he has showed some good mental toughness recently (cf his matches against Federer,Berdych or Belluci) but today,he just ran into a player who was in god-mode for half of the match and who has not lost a set to Nadal on clay this year.

Making too many U/E can be an indication of fatigue. He was not outhit today he just could not keep up his end of the bargain. so many silly errors. Take that game he got broken in the 2nd set. Nole did nothing to win that. Richie made a lot of errors and you can't afford to do that against the best players. I agree he is looking fitter now but the pattern continues so what to make of it  he loves the grass so we'll have to see where he's at on the green.

Indeed. I have the feeling that Federer, if anyone, is the only one who can beat Djokovic, particularly if he plays his best tennis and brings his variety of shots into play. I'm not worried about Nadal at all. If Murray gets past Nadal, he will have a better chance of beating Nole.
